There is no way in hell that we go to the SEC Championship this year...
To summarize we need some good head on head so we can sneak it in the backdoor... Madden would say we'll need good penetration at the line and proper use of our tight ends to achieve it! We need shirts for the title game...Choke on our Volsvery unlikely. However, OP's point is that it is more likely that the East champion will have several losses this season, then the typical season because of the wide open SEC East Race. Since it's likely that UF and UGA will have several losses next year, that makes it possible for UT to win despite several losses to west teams / non conference games if UT can win the head to head matchups with UF and UGA.

Florida will have more losses than they have recently. We still have no chance of winning this division.
I love your positive attitude and future telling abilities. This team is at least as talented as last years, IMO. The big losses are EB and DW. If UF falls back a bit and SC and UGA remain status quo.....it isnt likely we win it at all, but you cant act like its impossible.
The big losses are 4/5 of our line, our coach, and our entire backfield. Luckily, we have a much tougher schedule than last year which should make it easier for us to get to the SEC Champ...oh. Wait.
When you look at the Oline on paper it may seem that there will be a huge drop off in production since we are losing 4/5 starters.
But when you analyze it deeper and realize that 2 of the 4 we are losing were walk on talents and that one of the starters last year was transitioning from TE you can make the argument that it may not be that bad. Douglas will have had a full year to grow and learn the Oline position and should be a stud next year. We replace two walk on's with Talented yet inexpeienced playes and we have 2 real young guys that are talented playing.
So while the experience may be down, we actually may have a more talented line.:good!:
Yeah, i don't think talent is the problem. It's just experience and depth. If our line can stay healthy, it should improve as the season progresses and will probably be just as good if not better than the one we had last year by the time the season's finished.
I agree we will not be fourth or fifth but you have to consider we do play likely the two best teams from the West also.Dude, i hate to rip on the conference, but the east sucks. every single school in the division has huge question marks looming over them. There's no way we're gonna be fifth, fourth maybe, but no, not fifth.

2/4 were walk-ons....not a big loss on the OL. We are more than adequate talent-wise in our offensive backfield. I think BB,Oku,Pool, Williams and Neal can get it done. I dont want to come off like I'm putting down your opinion....if it seems that way I apologize. I just dont agree that next year is a lost cause. Except for EB and DW, I think we have just as, if not more, talented players waiting in the wings at those positions to step up.
