The University of Tennessee baseball team has been picked to finish sixth in the Southeastern Conference Eastern Division, as determined by a vote of the league's 12 head coaches, the conference office announced Wednesday. LSU was predicted to repeat as the 2010 SEC champions.

If we had a better coach, we'd be higher......

I like Coach Raleigh and I feel he is doing a good job. That being said he definitely needs to show marked improvement in wins and losses starting this season.

6th...thats perfect..... and exactly where we should be based on the last few years... NO expectations from the other coaches:shaking2:, NO respect from the other teams.....great spot for a bunch of hungry guys..this group of VOLS looks like they'll play loose and mash!

It's on!

PLEASE tell me in what way Raleigh is doing a good job.

He's had more than enough talent to be competitive and at least sniff the NCAA tourny, but hasn't come close.

I'm pretty much to the point to where if he doesn't win a game or two in a regional then we need to look again.

Delmonico's time had passed, but Raliegh is not looking like the right answer more and more every day.

I don't follow UT baseball as much as I would like to, but it does seem there is at least more of a committment. Would we be willing to spend the $$$ to bring in a nop notch coach if needed?

We would have been 8th, but ETSU and Carson Newman have decided not to participate in the SEC East this year.

:eek:lol: Good thing Coastal Carolina stayed out, too.

Whoever said Raleigh was doing a good job reminded me of what Bill Callahan said a day after his Nebraska team gave up 73 to Kansas: "I think I've done an excellent job in all respects."

When we fired Delmonico, he got the job coaching the Dutch national team. Maybe Raleigh can get a job like that, too. I hear Burkina Faso's national team needs a coach.
