Does anyone remember a year like this in the SEC or any other conference, where half the coaches could be replaced?

Hotseat SEC Coaches -
Auburn
Texas A&M
Florida
Tennessee
Missouri
Arkansas
Ole Miss (Interim Coach)

Crazy days.

Thoughts?

A&M and Ole Miss will be the only coaching changes this year.

It is crazy to me that Mason is probably the most beloved SEC East coach at the moment. After his first few games I thought he wouldn't last 2 seasons.

Some program is gonna hire him away from Vandy after this season. Stanford, maybe.

That list is all the reason we need to get out ahead of the rush. The writing is on the wall...read it.

Somebody will win the coaching sweepstakes....it should be us this time. Everyday we wait puts the ball in another SEC teams court.

Yeah, but you know how it'll probably go!

According to Coaches Hot Seat rankings, the SEC in order:

1. Kevin Sumlin (#3 overall)
2. Bret Bielema (#7 overall)
3. Barry Odom (#19 overall)
4. Butch Jones (#21 overall)
5. Gus Malzahn (#29 overall)
6. Jim McElwain (#30 overall)
7. Kirby Smart (#65 overall)
8. Will Muschamp (#66 overall)
9. Matt Luke (Interim at Ole Miss, #72 overall)
10. Mark Stoops (#93 overall)
11. Derek Mason (#102 overall)
12. Dan Mullen (#108 overall)
13. Ed Orgeron (#110 overall)
14. Nick Saban (#125 overall)

Now, not sure as to the criteria this person uses, but the list looks fairly accurate from today's standings. Though 2-4 could be swapped in any configuration at the moment.

Where is David Shaw going?

I think the conventional wisdom has USC and ucla on the rise and beating Stanford which could force him out. Idk details. I listen to Nashville sports talk with one ear.

That's a pretty terrible site. They have Tom Herman listed at #14.

Oregon and Washington are on the rise, which would certainly impact Stanford, but the guy is 65-19 and has won three p12 titles.

It may not be Stanford, but somebody hires Mason away from Vandy. Nebraska?

Odom probably shot to #1 yesterday; embarassed by a mid level B10 team at home and the stands emptied at halftime.

Okay, and the listing of the SEC coaches isn't fairly accurate?

Anyway, Herman was on the hot seat from the start since "This is TEXAS, by gawd!" where they have a fan base and boosters that are even more irrational than our own. And he has started out at 1-2. Herman didn't have a completely bare cupboard in Austin either. He is staring at the possibility of a 6-6 season as his first year. In Texas where they change coaches as often as they change underwear, a 1-2 start is enough to plop him into position.

It wasn't pretty for sure, but Orgeron isn't going anywhere.

The SEC is not good this year, LSU might be on the bottom of a bad SEC.

We can't get a top HC. Not willing to pony up the $$$. And then there is the bipolar fan base thing..
