I just checked the box scores in the Sunday paper and saw where we had 23,238 at Thompson-Boling to cheer on to victory a team that had lost three in a row (kudos to fellow Volnationers that went). This was second only to Kentucky's home attendance of 24,284.
In contrast, Florida, which in my opinion has an absolutely great team had only12,431 in their game vs. Ole Miss. Arkansas had 19,302 which is probably capacity and Bama had 15,316 which was respectable for them. Miss State had below 10,000 at their game.
My point is this; If Florida can only attract 12,000 fans to see one of college's best teams to come along in the last 25 years, what is to keep Donavan from packing his bags to go to a real basketball school? I know I would if I were in his shoes!
