For future reference, can anyone explain what it means when they move our game to the SEC Alternate channel? I have Dish and what shows for me as alternate channels are 404-2, -3, -4, dash whatever. I scanned all of them and our game was not on any of them. Did anyone with Dish get to watch the end? Is this channel a streaming only channel or something else I'm not aware of?

TIA

I have Comcrap and am embarrassed to admit how much I pay for it. I get the SEC Network on three different channels, but no SEC Alternate channel. I do have something called SEC Network+, which is pretty close to useless near as I can tell.

I opened my laptop and watched the end of the game on the WatchESPN app.

I have Spectrum. It’s the only high speed Internet option so I begrudgingly keep it.

We have 2 SECN channels. One is the main channel and the other is the alternate channel. It hardly ever gets used. Normally it just plays the SECN jingle and video over and over again.

I get the SEC Alt on Spectrum and was able to watch the remainder of the game. All but a brief glitch when the Florida game came on. Probably some poor slob who had to work a long day pushed the wrong button, but he corrected the problem right away.

The sounds was messed up too. Im kinda glad I didn’t hear DJ Shockley’s sour grapes over JuJaun’s accidental cleating

once the game switched to FSU/UF, i turned Bob on until he said the teams were on the field. Not knowing where it would be shown I then......stay with me here...... pushed the button that said "Guide". Lo and behold right next to SECND (1321) was SECDA (1322). Click and voila.

I know, mind blowing.

You guys think you had it bad, but I only watch the pirated links on the web and none of my free pirated links had the end of the game. That's just not fair lol.

I have dish but the game didn't show up on the alt channels. I called them while the game was still going on and they told me that the game showed on sec network and they couldn't see it anywhere else. They couldn't control what the provider had done but I pay extra for all the sec alt channels and I pay dish for the service. I was pissed and still drives me Krazy. Phone call didn't end well.

I found it on 1322 as well on Xfinity, and was able to watch (after that ANNOYING “screen saver” went away)

When I had Uverse I got the SEC alternate channel. Most of the time you'd turn to it and there would be a rotating logo that said "SEC" on it. This meant that you got the channel but the SEC network was not showing anything on it at the time. I now have DirecTV and when I turned to the SEC alternate channel (611-1) last night, it only displayed a DirecTv logo and I knew I was missing the end of the game. I called ATT/DirecTV and they said that it's a local broadcasting issue and they will contact the broadcaster to get access.

When I saw the alert that the game had resumed on the SEC network it said "airing on SEC alternate where available." I guess it was not available in our areas. What determines that, I cannot answer for you.

As another poster noted previously, I also watched the end using the watchespn app. If you havent already set up you account with them using your dish network credentials, it may be useful to do so for the future. Its definitely worth it when in a jam like this and since you are a dish customer its no extra charge.

Same here in Powell Station.... Dish shows four SEC channels (only 1 broadcasts.... like checkout registers at Walmart!) but the game was not playing... IN KNOXVILLE, you know, Charlie, the HOME OF THE VOLS! Tried listening to Bob but I think they were having refreshments or something. Couldn't take it. I waited until Freak put up the complete video and watched it on VN. Guess I'll set up WatchESPN with my Dish info as another poster suggested.

BUT, I DID GET TO SEE SABAN LOSE HIS MIND, so that was something I guess.
