https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/sec-acc-big-12-considering-plus-one-scheduling-model-with-shortened-2020-season-becoming-an-inevitability
In summary, the writer says the 3 conferences are strongly considering playing conf games as scheduled with one OCC game added. Since SEC only play 8 conf. games they may go with that or play 9 and add one OCC game. Said the BIG 12 would like to keep its 2 high profile OCC games: TN/OK and Ole Miss/Baylor. If SEC goes to 9 conf games, would TN-Ole Miss want to keep these games as their OCC game. Would make for a very tough schedule or go with the easier mid-major?
This is the first scenario I have seen so far that makes sense if an abbreviated schedule is how CFB goes.
