I'm on the search for some lower level sideline tix for the Oregon game. I'm finding a lot of really low row number tickets, like row 1, 2 and 3 etc.
I think the lowest I have ever been was around 22 or something. At what row are you too low to actually see that well? I think I read once that anything lower than row 15 makes it hard to see over the players on the sideline. Any info would be appreciated, thanks!!

From my experience anything on row 10 or above is fine.

i have sat row 1 behind away bench many times! if game is covered by espn, seems they always park the camera in front of u. but sitting that close to the opponent is cool. puts a whole new meaning to trash talking. view really isnt that bad. besides if u miss something replay on the tron always has your back!

I've grown to prefer the low rows on the upper deck. And the difference in getting into and out of the bathrooms and concessions is like night and day. Give me SS,TT,UU,VV. Sun behind your back and the same view as the TV cameras.

My favorite seats ever were a few rows above lower level student section on the 45 yard line. very loud and could see everything. Ah I long to be in neyland on a Saturday. Happiest moments of my life

I sat row 25 50 yd line at the WKU-UT game, they were great seats. could see perfectly. worth the gas money up there because the tix were free. lol

I've sat on row 1 before and I probably wouldn't do it again. Was the Tennessee/SC game in 07. We basically had to stand the entire time just to see. O-linemen and D-linemen on the sidelines do make it hard to see sometimes. Plus the ESPN camera is in the way occasionally. And they never hit the 1st row. Was usually around row 8-10.

Although I did sit on row 4 for the Tenn/Ole Miss game in 95 or 96. 96 I think? It was in Memphis. That was a blast! It was funny watching Ole Miss' o-line coach chew out his guys every time they came in. I thought dude was going to have a heart attack.

I've sat in row 8 on around the 45 yard line in neyland. Great seats, no problems.

I sat in row 3 one time behind the bench. We couldn't see and it was distracting. Best seats I ever had were row 40, 50-yard line for the hob-nail boot GA game. I would say 15 to 50 between the 30 yard lines.

I wouldn't do anything in single digits.

Best seats I ever had was in 98 versus Bama. Section D, row 16. I stradled the 50 yard line.

I was in C last year for the Georgia game in row 23 at about the 48 yardline, and they were awesome!!

We went to the South Carolina game last year and sat at the 45 yard line in row 6. No problems seeing over players. When the game was on the opposite end of the field, it got a little difficult seeing the plays that went to the far sideline. It was my first time sitting right behind our bench and being able to see the players up close on the sideline, so that made up for it.

Depends on the section. I sat in F, Row 2 once (during my student days). The only thing blocking my view were the cheerleaders. :good!:

Hi all, first post. My wife and I are making our first trip to Neyland this year and we have an opportunity to buy tickets in Sec C, Row 10. Based on what I've read here, that's right on the edge of being "too low". What do you guys think? Thanks in advance for the replies.

those actually sound like great seats but it's been awhile since I sat so low. Wouldn't think you'll have any issues

oh and welcome to VN :hi:

Thanks a million. The info on this forum is fantastic for a first time visit to Knoxville/Neyland. Good luck this year.

On the sidelines, especially near the goal line, nothing is too low. Sure, some plays on other parts of the field the visibility is slightly low, but it makes up for it on those plays where the action is literally right in front of you. We were in the student section on like row 4 for the UGA game last year where something like 4 of the 5 touchdowns were on our goalline, and at least 2 or 3 were to the corner right where we were sitting.

It was epic.

Much better than being in row 20+, though those are still great seats.
