’86 Miami/Tennessee...Sugar Bowl .. Huge underdogs and we made #1 Maimi pay. Thsi team was fun to watch. Lots of speed and we were a threat to throw long at any time. This is my favorite UT team. (had a hometown boy playing too..so that helps my decision)

2006. I went to the Bammer game in Neyland when we were down the whole game and Foster scored the gw TD. Then the D sacked Sarah Jessica Parker Wilson 3 plays in a row. Man, Neyland was just electric.

2001...had some great wins (at Florida and Notre Dame, and vs. Michigan in the bowl game) and the huge comeback at Kentucky. The loss to LSU in the SEC Championship was very bitter, not only because it kept us out of the Rose Bowl, but because it marked the beginning of the slide from greatness.

I would say 1994, That was one of the first seasons I can fully remember and the entrance of Peyton in the program. I was 9 then and have worshipped him ever since!

2001 is up there, but becasue I really despise ND, I'd have to put 1991 team as my favorite. The miracle at South Bend is my favorite single memory other than anything that happen in 98.

I like the 2001 season. My most memorable has to be 95 we beat Alabama and Ohio State.

Also, Andy Kelly and the Notre Dame heartbreakers 1991.

I know we're excluding the 98 season but that was my freshman year at UT and the 20-17 OT stunner we put on the gators was my first home game as a student. I can remember rushing the field with my friend and losing him in the mass of orange. He fell getting over the wall to the field and screwed up his elbow pretty bad. So much so that he eventually had to see a specialist at the Mayo clinic in MN.

Still, he says if he had it to do over again he would not change ONE thing about that night!!! Me either... I'd also say that 94 was pretty great as a whole watching Manning get his legs.

1990

Tied the eventual national champion (Colorado) in the first game (31-31)
Were tied by Auburn in a game we should have won (26-26)
Lost to 'bama in one of the ugliest games I can remember (9-6)
Lost to Notre Dame in the last seconds in Neyland but it was a great game (34-29)
But, we smashed the gators 45-3 and won the Sugar Bowl and tied for the SEC Championship!

Lots of great games that year.

Damn, was that the last time we were in the Sugar Bowl?

I know we beat them in the NC year because that is when Deon Grant intercepted a screen pass and scored.

that was 1999. the NC year was Ellis intercept and return for TD plus the first goal at the 6 inch line we stopped them on....:)

My # 1 of all the games I have attended in person was the 1991 ND game. The whole weekend was great from the Friday attendance at ND pep rally to going to coaches sports bar after the game for ribs....
