Kentucky is highly beatable hell Arkansas should have beaten them in Lexington;)
Best thing that could have happened to our team happened early. I dont expect any let downs from our guys, first season I can say that in 4 years. They will be fired up on Saturday, especially since UK got the line at -6. Media helping us out big time

Can the Vols win two more? Only this team, working together, can answer this question. This team has shown the heart and the strength of character. The Vols have greatness in front of them. They must seize the moment. This season is on the brink. They have overcome great odds and have risen above themselves. They can do it, they have it in them.

Hardly... A reasonable season considering the way it started, but not great. The Vols always have greatness in front of themselves, as do all teams. They just rarely attain it.

Absolutely no reason to think otherwise unless we come out and lay a couple of eggs and I don’t think we will. Plenty of motivation. I think there’s confidence there as well and couple the two together with a somewhat weak schedule left, no reason we can’t win out and go 7-5 and get a halfway decent bowl game. They know we will travel well.

Well if they win out, that'll be something to hang your hat on, especially considering the start. Winning two is feasible, and I'd prefer it to be this weekend. Hope some of the wounded can dig deep and grind it out Saturday......we could use this one. If the D of late shows up and shows out, they'll definitely give the offense the chance to put more on the board.

Overall, love to see them win out!!!

So will I, but I'm just saying these 3 wins are not a given. Defense is gonna be key.
I don't believe he starts the next games, unless an unforeseen injury happens. I do think he plays in all of them. With that said, yes, he's been QB during some losses we should have won. The benefit moving forward, JMO, both sides of the football have improved. That being the case will help any struggling QB, even JG. I like our chances...GBO!

Well we have won the games we’ve won with him at QB.
I don't really think you should expect UK and Mizzou... well or even Vandy to let UT's receivers run free like they did vs USCe. USCe has the 12th ranked passing D in the SEC. So don't expect wide open receivers... which means JG either throws picks or checks down too quick. That's his history. Even token coverage can get him to give up on a play down field. That allows D's to stuff the run too.

He didn't "change" vs USCe. He just played against a D that really hasn't covered a good WR all year.

Mizzou and UK have offenses good enough to not allow UT to dominate field position like they did vs UAB.

If he's improved at all it is marginal.

IMHO, UT will not make a bowl with him at QB. The ONLY chance is to get a dominating defensive and ST's performance against UK or Mizzou. JG is still late and short. His decisions still take too long. And he takes too long after a decision to get the ball off.

Is i
KEY! IF they keep playing like they did the last 4 games, I'm liking our chances. We need to move the ball though. Stoops will make that a lot more difficult then it has been. Honestly, I'm shocked at how well our offense did against SC, but it's a one score game without the punt return and block for TDs. We will need to play lights out Saturday. That BYE week goes a long way for UK's defense and they will want revenge for last season. Toughest game we have left, IMO
is it just me or has just about everyone had a bi week before playing us? I guess it’s because of the double byes this year.

For some reason when I read your posts, I picture you behind a wooden podium in front of a large crowd in the late 1800s

Let me be Capt Obvious....IF the OLine is healthy and IF our QB situation is healthy (I'm ok with JG playing for the most part but clearly his hand interfered with his play Saturday night) and IF our defense can stay healthy and IF we can stay away from penalties, turnovers, and secondary breakdowns on the deep throw then its a resounding YES!!!! Told you I would be Capt. Obvious. The last three games can be like the SC game in my opinion...we can run away from them and win...or not...just depends on who shows up (FOR US AND THEM)!!!

I think Saturday will be a defensive battle. I know Kentucky’s QB is 2-1 since he took over, but he seems one dimensional. His completion percentage is like 40%. Plus he was their leading receiver and nobody for Kentucky has really filled that spot. I think our defense will stack the box and make him beat us throwing. If our secondary can man up and lock down Kentucky’s WRs then we have a very good chance to win.

Conversely, our offense will need to put some points on the board and sustain drives. I hope our OL takes over and we can effectively run the ball. I am a little concerned with QB situation. While JG has managed and done enough lately, our offense is so predictable and boring when he is under center. Shrout looks decent, but he keeps getting pulled before we get to see much. Maurer brings a lot of energy and excitement, but now he hasn’t played in three weeks and coming out of concussion protocol. I hope Maurer is ready to play and starts Saturday. We will need good QB play the rest of the season.

I'll take any bowl. Missouri plays much better at home than away. Don't know why, but it's a fact. Our goals this year should be to beat Vandy, make a bowl, and beat SC (done). I think we will do it. Looking back to September, we've came a long way.

It's sort of amazing how similar our current situation is to last season at this time. Same record, 4-5, with three games left to play. Same three remaining opponents as last season and in the same order. Same conversations taking place among fans and players about the importance of finishing strong and getting to a bowl game.

We STB last season in pretty much the same scenario. We can only hope that this team shows a little more fight than last year's team did. Because if we blow it again, Pruitt will have a big monkey on his back.

I think they can as long as the D keeps playing like they have and the O steps up and plays like it did against SCAR they can win out. That said, it is still disappointing that they would be 6-3 if they would have taken care of business in the first 2 games. I am very happy to see the improvement in the effort and confidence that they're playing with though.
