He's on his way out regardless. Only question is when it happens. It ain't just that the wheels have fallen off the wagon; the wagon is already off the cliff.

I believe we win on Saturday.

That said, if we have hit the point where beating a team:

1. Barely able to dress 35-40 guys;
2. Who started with lower tier talent anyway;
3. Does not have a head coach;

"saves" your job, then I'm just about done with Tennessee Football for awhile.

Everything you said is very true,but it's not at Neyland.

If Pruitt’s job is on the line then I would have to believe Fulmer’s is as well. You don’t provide a raise and contract extension (guaranteed money) mere months before firing someone and expect to survive.

That said, as bad as Tennessee is; I can’t imagine losing to this Vanderbilt team.

He should already be fired. Beating a half strength, worst in the conference Vandy team is no accomplishment. Only way we can lose is player (Vols) mutiny and either opt out en masse or just stand there and watch Vandy limp into the endzones a few times.

If that's the litmus for being the coach at the University of Tennessee just fill in Neyland Stadium and make it a flower garden. I said in another post and he could win 86-0 and it means absolutely NOTHING. Good lord - beating one of the worst teams in CFB the way it was - and now factor in they have only 40 warm bodies and have even lost their best players off of the already bad team - what does it prove to beat them? That Tennessee could flex on a local high school team? Yippee.
