I’m all for them running with and trashing our garbage play, but did they really have to post a video of the band member passing out? We gave them enough material for the rest of the month to write about our crap play. Real classy of them. Naturally Georgia and Florida fans chime in with comments.
They’ve never been regarded as classy. Why would anyone expect that to change!

I was at the game on Saturday and noticed the band member on the ground after several people around me were talking and pointing. After I saw him/her on the ground, it wasn't 10-15 seconds later that several individuals ran out to attend to them. They got them up and off the field and the performance continued. It is not like they laid there for the duration of the halftime show, then they checked on the individual as the band was walking off the field.

Sds had always been very click baity. No one can churn out that many articles and be concerned about quality

I'm not seeing how this is that classless.

If anything was classless IMO it was the band just kept going around the poor kid. Like seriously, you're going to keep marching?

Yeah I agree, seeing the video was weird like, I dont think your band director is going to be mad that you put your trombone down to drag someone to safety. Kid could have died.

I never read anything they produce. In fact, I had forgotten that they were still around.

That's not classless. That is standard protocol for marching bands in the event something like that happens. When you have that many band members that are all marching to a specific cadence, any disruption of that can cause chaos and confusion. The band, unlike the football team, did exactly what they were taught. They have staff to tend to someone if that happens.

This isnt accurate, the kid laid there for a while before he was noticed by a girl that went running out to him. The fat ass medic never made it out of the tunnel until he was almost off the field. It was a sad moment. I watched the entire thing happen from the time the kid dropped until he was in the tunnel on the visitor sideline.

They have the unique ability to smell blood in the water, and know that one area UT is top 5 is fan passion...So, if SDS is behind their revenue targets, chum out a few articles on UT (greater clicks = ad revenue), and bingo, they just made their monthly projections.

I read somewhere that they are trained to do that. They keep the formation going and medical staff will tend to anyone that falls out. Supposedly if one of them stops to help the fallen member it could cause a pileup and more injuries. Just what I read from one of the former band members who stated this online.

I'm a Georgia fan, but I didn't think the fallen band member was funny at all. I do hope that they ensure a quicker response time in the future..
