Scroggins hasn't commited...YET

I couldn't find anything about his cousin Jerry Anderson, and I don't think Scroggins' decision hinges on whether or not Anderson gets an offer.

Course...if he outperforms the other qbs at that USC thing, we might be out of luck. He seems kinda excited about that opportunity

If he was hell bent playing near his home, he would be a lock at UCLA. I think if his cousin can earn an offer, he will be coming to Tennessee.

I hope he don't get an offer:) so we wouldn't have to worry about it! Even tho I don't think it would matter!

“This process is almost over,” Scroggins said. “(They) kind of waited.”
I think USC is on the outside in this race.

That's how I read into his comments as well. However, you never know how his attitude will change if he ends up getting an offer.

nice article. Hope he commits to us SOON. Sounds like he liked Bryce Brown as well. That is good news.

He may have not worked out at Florida or here because he wanted to win that competition at USC,it could go either way.

He seems too competitive for that. Judging from his comments, I think he wants to get that USC offer to show he is the best QB in CA.....but I think the ship has sailed on him committing there, IMHO.

Why would we want to keep the lynchpin of the class silent? That doesn't make any sense. This is not a guy to be a silent commit.

Agree. If we want to attract WR's like Kyle Prater they need to know that someone will be here to throw them the ball.

Good O-Linemen will want to block for a quality QB as well.

Just go ahead and offer Anderson a spot too...IF Scroggins is willing to commit. If he (JS) thinks he's good enough to work with on the field, then give him what he's asking for. If Anderson isn't good enough for real PT, then just have him riding the pine. We could stand to waste one WR spot on a mediocre kid, if that could solve our QB issue.
All the outstanding QBs in the world won't mean much if you've got Nick Stephens throwing the ball to them.
