The bad news is that the O ran so well when the D should have known it was coming... or good news depending on how good they really are.

It doesn't matter. It's a lose lose situation. Either it's perceived that the D can't hold their own, or the offense is struggling. It won't matter until they put it up against true opposition.

Agreed. Either way you look at it, it makes one side look bad. Let them play a game against somebody besides themselves before assuming what the weak links are

i kind of agree, but after last year i don't think anybody is assuming d-line is a weak link, we pretty much know that. linebacker play might be able to cover in the run game, but if we dont develop pass rushers our secondary will get burned. freshmen can help the recievers and secondary, but i dont know what they can contribute on the d-line. championship teams are built from the lines out, so we'll see what chavis puts together at cal.

I'm going to hold off on saying anything about the passing game until later in the offseason. Hopefully Ainge will get more and more used to them as the offseason progresses. The one thing that i'm really impressed with is the kicking game. 5-6 is excellent for Lincoln and 3-5 for Colquitt is not bad either, especially on such a windy day.

crompton averaged 6.625 yds per completion, ainge averaged 10, who do you think threw the ball downfield more?

Crompton also fumbled and Ainge did not. Why in the world would a RS sophomore start over a senior that has played in nearly every game in which he was not injured?

The OL and WR spot will be inexperienced regardless of who plays there, need senior leadership where ever they can get. No reason to go through another Clausen vs Ainge debacle

Anyone else notice Foster was on the first team with Ainge, and Coker was on the 2nd team with Crompton?

If I read the news report right? Or is that not considered the 2nd team offense?
