Scrimmage stats 8/9

It's still not reassuring.

This is the biggest question mark on the offense right now.

I agree with you. Everyone is almost assuming Bray is going to be good this year. Fact is, we don't have much to confirm that yet. I feel more optimistic this year because I think the O line will be improved. In the very least, the O line is bigger than the last few seasons. That is something UT has lacked for several years IMO.

Scrimmages are always fun and interesting to look at... the only issue is someone has to look bad and no matter what... that someone/unit is part of our team.

That's true, except for Palardy.

Let me get this straight? Earlier everyone was going "We're winning 9 to 10 games this year." after our 1st scrimmage of the fall all I see "We're terrible. The running game sucks. Bray sucks. Kicking game sucks. We're awful, why even play the season...can't wait for next year."

Guys calm down. I'm sure we didn't go out there and run a full game. They ran a certain amount of plays. This is a chance to take the plays you've installed and walk the guys through it in a somewhat of a game atmosphere. It's alright the world is not coming to an end. I still say we go 7-5. I'm going to wait till the first few games of the season pass...let's say 5 games before I start saying the season is over or that we're winning 10 games or whatever else has been said.

Let this young team learn in these scrimmages and develop. Don't put too much pressure on them and expect them to come out and play like one of the top two teams in the nation. We have to talent to be top 25 but we'll see if we can accomplish that.

Bray didn't pass well. Btw, 13-29 isn't 30%. Closer to 45%.

Not enough running yards.

Palardy!

Agh... we are gonna suck.

It's gonna be a long year.

Did (insert name here) not play? WTF!

I always find it hard to react to scrimmages.
Is it the offense sucking or the defense dominating?
Is it the offense executing and the defense not up to par? It seems like whatever side of the ball does well stat wise we automatically assume the other side is terrible and we freak out. As long as we are not having guys get hurt I am ok with whatever stats come out of these scrimmages....although a 5 for 30 would not be fun to see again from Bray....EVER!

One more thing, I will freak out when it comes to the kicking game. Palardy scares the hell out of me and just hope we can figure something out and do so soon.

I hope we don't need to win a game with a field goal.

I know its a scrimmage but there is no pressure. Hopefully he will tighten up and start hitting them.

Last time I checked nobody won or lost a national championship or even a single game based on their 1st scrimmage of their fall camp.

I'm going to be patient. Enjoy your heart-attack over a pointless scrimmage.

Jesus! Im so tired of the "sky is falling" crowd. It's our first scrimmage and defense should be ahead of the offense. If you know anything about or have played football, you would understand. This is real life, not ncaa12 or madden, which is the closest a lot of that crowd has ever gotten to a football field

I like all the stat analysis from everyone who wasn't there. We don't know what the situations were. We don't know who was going against who. If the offensive stats were outrageous, everone would be worried about the D. Lets not forget it was the FIRST scrimmage!
