- Faizon has 2 TDs and 1 pick six (Farooq). But he did tackle him into the end zone. Good hustle.
- Tim Merritt is having a huge spring!
- Xavier Gilliam is becoming a rock for our defense as is Nathan Robinson
- Chaz Coleman better be a gamer because Gass might steal some snaps from him.
- Baker running with authority
- Brame looks an NFL TE and is probably the fastest receiver we have next to Staley or King (TBD)
- Weathersby is ready as is Dye and we may see them together in packages.
- As I’ve told people EDRES FAROOQ is a baller and he will be an All - Conference type player this season
- WR had drops….
- No real burst from the RBs. They all run hard.
- safety’s are good as is CB.

Sounds good.

Even before spring practice began I was pretty pumped about our players. The only worry is QB. One of these guys may turn out to be really good but I just don’t see it, not this year at least.

And I’m 99% a sunshine pumper!

Opening game against Furman GMac throws 4 TDs and stable of backs run for over 300 yards. G Tech GMac throws couple picks early Faison comes in and rallies Vols fall short 31-29. Faison takes over and Vols run the table finish 12-1 end up SEC champs defeating Texas for second time and 2 seed in CFP.
Was this supposed to be blue font or are you serious. Can't tell . Thought I might think a minute before I said something stupid

It's interesting that Faizon ran down Farooq after a pick since Faizon almost certainly had a red jersey on in a scrimmage (or maybe not, but usually I think.)

I know it's a college scrimmage but QBs notoriously don't, and most can't, chase down DBs. I like it. Heupel might not like the actual contact but surely loves the hustle to chase him down.

You're not supposed to drink the Good Friday wine until tomorrow

I was at the scrimmage today.
Gmac would be the starter if the season started today. Brandon could catch him but made A LOT of freshman mistakes (holding ball too long, horrible pick, several “sacks”). Neither look like world beaters at this point but they have absolute cannons. Brandon will be a monster once he puts it all together.

WRs looked solid, didn’t get a ton of opportunities but boy are they big and athletic.

Bishop (looks like an tank) and dude from Tulane looked good though Bishop don’t get a lot of PT.

The defense absolutely dominated. Dline played like rampaging gorillas and blew up at least 30-40% of plays. Carter was out but linebackers looked okay. DBs seem much improved from last year and are absolutely faster.

On a bad note, the kicker looked terrible. And I mean terrible.

I don't like this scenario. I am planning to be at the ga tech game.

Thanks for this.

Any word about reported drops by receivers you recall?

I hate to ask but the kicker looked worse than Gilbert? And we sure it was the guy we signed and not a walk on or something?

Well, thankfully, it's not like a kicker can cost us a big game 👀🤬🤬🤬
