Volfan8282, you wrote that it's kinda hard to throw your support at a guy who apparently doesn't want to talk or do interviews or anything else.

No it isn't. Not for a true fan. And I am not sure what else you said, I stopped reading after this first sentence.

My buddies have USC tix on the 50 and my sister in law is a USC grad. I attend at least 1-2 games per year with them. When the Kiffin story broke, I told them i would never attend another game so long as he is the coach and hopes he dies in a plane crash. That being said, if I could get my hands on one of those shirts I would wear it proudly into the Coliseum to a game this year and cheer for whoever they are playing. Anyone know where I could buy one? I live in SD and I doubt they sell them here.

Ah crap, not that "true fan" **** again. Just because you don't support Dooley 100% doesn't mean you're not a "true" Tennessee fan.

Some people can't deal with a break up. Our opinions of Kiffin are irrelevant to him. He is where he wants to be and we look like a bunch of stalking Glenn Close's from Fatal Attraction digging for news on him and talking about him all of the time. Who is going to boil the bunny?

yeah I don't care anymore, I guess there are several steps in this process, first was anger, then betrayal, then hoping he never win another game, then finally acting as though he was never our coach. We as a fanbase need to let it go. Wouldn't be caught dead in something that give Kiffin any free pub, because you know we only care about him because "we saw where we were headed as a team, and are angry because of that" . THANKS BUT NO THANKS

Actually its quite easy for me to throw the man my support. He coaches the University of Tennessee therefore he has my full support. I liked what Kiffin did, don't get me wrong but you ever think Dooley might just be a little busy with things? Give the guy time, people that complain about no news kill me. No news IMO is good news.

The "busy" excuse is a load of crap. Kiffin was just as busy. That doesn't fly with me.

I agree it is time to stop acting like the jilted lover who was left standing at the alter.
Kiffin has proved he don't care what people say as long as they are talking about him.

Look, Dooley might be the next Saban. I have no idea. You have no idea. But, I'm not just going to blindly follow some guy that I know nothing about really. It's got nothing to do with being a fan or not. I just would like to know a little more about him and his views of football... other things too like "What do you like about Chaney and Thompson?" ... "Why did you choose Joseph as the RC?" etc... We know NOTHING really about the guy, and it's just dumb to not make yourself accessible to the fans, especially after what's happened over the last 2 months. Trust me, I'm not going to lose any sleep b/c you didn't read my entire post.

Well I'm sure just like me, Dooley really gives a crap what flies with you and what doesn't. Like it or not this is how it is and how its going to be for at least 3 years or more. I'm sure if/when Dooley starts winning games you won't care if he comes out and talks to the media or not.

BTW, in case you forgot, Lane Kiffin is the coach at USC now. If you like him and what he has done so much maybe you should take your loyalties there.

Not saying you aren't a true fan but when a guy won't come talk to the media and the fanbase bashes him, it is a bit ridiculous. Let the man coach a few games and then if your still dissatisfied, bash him. JMO

You're exactly right ... if he turns into a Saban, none of this will matter. But, he's not Nick Saban right now, so it matters right now. Dooley probably does care what flies with the fanbase, and this isn't something that I've just come up with on my own. I'm just stating my preference. I would prefer a coach and coaching staff that interact with the fanbase. I would also prefer a coach and coaching staff that win games. Those two things are not exclusive of each other.

Look, if you don't care one way or the other or if you're preference is just whatever floats the boat of the coach that's in there right now, then that's fine. But, I think I still have a right to state my opinion on a freaking message board about it too. Get a grip.

Lol. I'm not the one that needs to get a grip. I'm not freaking out because Dooley isn't speaking to the media. I wasn't trying to jump your opinion bro, you got every much of a reason to state your opinion on here as much as I do. I was just respectfully disagreeing with you. Chill out, its just a difference in opinion on a message board. Lol

The old, redundant Kiffin threads remind me of ticking a wife/girlfriend off, she continues holding a grudge for a week afterwards, you on the other hand, within a few hours of the disagreement, had already forgotten what she was so mad/upset about.

Kiffin is like that dump that you hold and hold and hold on to all day long, then when you finally get home and let it go, it's the best feeling in the world. That's what it feels like to let Kiffin go, I suggest you try it.

Maybe if Kiffin had been more busy working on improving the Tennessee football team and less busy providing sound bites for the media, the team would have been better prepared for the season and not lost to inferior UCLA and Auburn teams. The UT team that played Alabama would have destroyed them both.

That does put things in perspective, thanks.

I agree. We defended him and justified his actions and made excuses for his mistakes.... and supported him.

Sure he was a prick, but he was our prick.... now he's not.

You're delusional. He and that staff did wonders for that team. UCLA was mostly, if not all, on Crompton. Same thing could be said for Auburn although the defense struggled against Auburn's quirky offense. You're absolutely blind if you couldn't see the incredible difference between 2008 and 2009 with arguably a weaker and thinner team. It was light years different.
