Screw this entire administartion. Good coaches out there, don't hire mediocre

I knew the moment we did not hire Blackburn that we had royally screwed things up. I think that Currie was aware to a certain extent of what he was getting into. Although I don't think he really knew how pissed the fans really were as a whole. I mean I think it was Lawgator or one of the Gator fans summed it up perfectly. This mess has been festering for 10-12 years and it all blew up. Honestly he should have known better than to look at Schiano. He should have put some leaks that UT was in talks to gauge the meltdown. This situation was handled very poorly. Although at this point we are screwed with keeping Currie for a little while.

He knew because Haslam’s hand was up his rear end making his mouth move. He is nothing more than a puppet!

I hope Brohm works out if true, but I don't know enough about him to have an opinion. I think this administration will seriously regret not going after a Tennessee guy such as Tee though.

Brohm wouldn't be a bad hire. He's intense and can coach. It's going to be frustrating watching him grow. I'm okay with this.

yep, the university that pays you while you learn...must be nice...:)

GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm disgusted that, according to the latest report, a superior and obtainable coach, Mike Leach, is not going to be hired because he sued Texas Tech. Currie, you friggin moron! The pirate sued Tech because they weaseled their way out of paying him what he was contractually owed when they fired him for bogus cause. Hire the pirate, and just don't cheat him out of his booty, arrrrrr!

Highest profit football program in the conference and won't spend the money for a good coach. Baffling.

UT just offered Gundy more that Kelly got at UCLA and Mullen at FL.

What is baffling is that people still think money is the issue.

If this falls through and we let Currie hire Dorean or Steele I’ll never forgive anyone in power at Tennessee.

What is baffling is that anyone thought Gundy would come here. He is coaching at his school and has a deep pocketed booster. It was a raise play from the onset. Anyone who didn't see that coming was dumb.

That is always possible.

How much of a raise did he get?

I'ts become apparent that Kiffin, Miles and Martin are the only ones that truly want our head coaching job. Currie, Peyton and others need to cut the bulls**t and interview these two for the job. We are the laughing stock of the college football world. Currie must GO!

The same Kevin Sumlin, Les Miles, Lane Kiffin, and soon to be Jimbo Fisher who all will have been fired for underachieving?

It's not about any single name or coach. The problem that most fans fail to see is that this football program has everything in place to be the best in the country, from facilities, too stadium, to money generated and 99.9 percent of it was paid by the program itself, and the a$$e$ that fill Neyland. The smart fans are tired of paying for the best and being sold an unproven commodity and hope. The players deserve better, the fans deserve better, and above all the history of this program deserves better.

If you keep accepting mediocrity for the price of excellence in the AD and coaching staff, the current group will gladly take your money and make you the villain when it all falls to pieces in a few years. Wake up! The UT Administration does not like you or care about your wishes. They just want your money.

The fact that you already are willing to forgive for the chit they've already pulled is exactly why the program is doomed. Why can't you guys see this? We are all being played like the inbred hillbillies the media portrays us to be. It's ENOUGH!

Let's give our voices again. No way should have passed on a good football coach. C'mon let's do it!

Get it in your skull

Kiffin, Sumlin, Tee

No one else this crap show better end with Currie's head.

It's collusion. The fanbase embarrassed a member of the coaching fraternity, now they are getting their payback.
Not saying the fans were wrong.

It’s become apparent that firing Fulmer was the biggest mistake a college program has ever made. Ever.

You idiots on here that we’re anti Fulmer FOREVER ruined Tennessee football.

We will never be good again.

Some not so smart...probably a Democrat will say—“yeah Tennessee will never be good again, right!!” Because you morons just assume we are always because that’s how it is. You don’t realize empires collapse and never come back...just like leftist idiots are doing to the United stafes.

Just so much stupid...

Currie had one damn job to do. One!

Davenport had a decision pretty much simple enough for a cave man, and one hot priority looming - hiring a decent football coach. Three candidates. One with a successful history of hiring coaches at a much lower level. One that definitely knows a thing or two about coaching and coaches. And Bozo the Clown. And she picked Bozo.

Somehow you'd expect more intelligent people at a place where the core business is education. As a minimum both Currie and Davenport need to be fired.
