Also, let’s face it. This will pretty much be a home game it being in Atlanta. We are 3 hours away from there. NY is a ways away lol. The crowd will be more than likely 80/20 vol fans, and I’ll be happy to be part of the madness!

I’m from Syracuse, NY. Been a Tennessee fan since i was 6 and I am now 26. Everyone and i mean EVERYONE around here thinks Cuse is going to beat us. Usually most fan bases are hopeful and optimistic about their team but for some reason it’s just plain cocky and arrogant now that they’ve tasted some success last season. With all that being said I don’t think their roster is close to ours. They lost all their firepower and most of the upperclassmen on defense. We should be able to run the ball well and our receivers should make some big plays. If the game is within 7-10 points by the end we have some MAJOR issues and are likely looking at a 7-8 win season

The NC State fans were the same before we smacked them and made a stadium in Charlotte a 50/50 crowd. Mercedes Benz is going to be painted orange!

I think Tennessee wins but 13 is a generous spread at this point. Fran brown is a good coach who has had some good wins there. I think we lean heavily on the run game and defense as most teams do in the first few games. Just want to get out of this one with a win and healthy.

Don’t really have anything to say to this, save for the fact that I’m just thankful that I finally found someone else on this forum in their mid 20s lol. Feels like I just found a long lost brother, given how much older 99% of this forum is (not that that’s a problem….. I have very little in common with my generation frankly, but I digress).

Just saying speaking in absolutes about Tennessee football is silly… I’ve seen us beat UGA and Florida and lose to South Carolina and Vandy in the same season… I’ve also seen us lose to ga state and byu but beat better teams and win a bowl game… no matter what happens week 1 barring a major injury(s), nothing absolute can be said about the season..

Agree. Except Charlotte was more like 55/45 or even 60/40. I was there and there was definitely a slight advantage in Vol fans.

But yeah, I’ll be in ATL too and I expect a home game.
