LSU lost alot with Mitchell and Thomas leaving last year...and Davis might be lucky to even get picked up in the second round if he decides to come out..

I don't think we'll have trouble with the 49rs, but I wouldn't compare them to Fordham or UNCW.. Both are accurately absent from the NIT field this year.

In terms of performance (not achievement), LBSU has performed very comparably to Fordham.

Losing to LSU might have hurt, but we have to remember that they have an NBA caliber player and most of the talent that took them to the final 4 last year, and beat UF and Texas A&M this year. And that's when we played a terrible game.

I really find it hard to believe an LBSU team can give us trouble. Look what we did against UNC Wilmington or Fordham.

Didn't we beat Fordham by 7?

LBSU and New Mexico are very similiar quality teams this season. We didn't play New Mexico, but they performed almost identically.

I still disagree.. LBSU has much better guard play and usually thrive in transition.. LBSU is a veteran team who likes to push the tempo. They have a very efficient offense and a defense that is rather pathetic. Fordham actually focuses on half-court defense, something LBSU has struggled with all year. Fordham also has better post play, they score more points in the paint unlike LBSU. We should beat them by double digits, but I wouldn't put it past them to make a few runs in the second half to make things interesting..

The A-10 and Colonial are markedly better than the Big West.

From top to bottom, yes..but UNCW or maybe even Fordham, would get beat handily by LBSU or Cal Poly this year.. UNCW lost the majority of their starters from their tournament team a year ago.

Yeah, I couldn't watch it...I just didn't care about the teams. Little did i know theyd be our draw.

What I'm saying is - when you take a solid offensive team like LBSU with their terrible defense and compare it to Fordham - a solid defensive team and terrible offensive team - they equal out to about the same level of competition.

New Mexico is LBSU to a tee.
