One thing to consider is that this info isn’t as much of news as it is just echoing what we’ve all been saying. Does our team have the talent to be an A school? Yes. But from an NFL scout perspective, this talent has not been coached up to a degree where they are ready for the big leagues.
Yep. That's exactly what I was thinking. Tennessee was a C school last year and will be this year too.Not counting Trey. This is an NFL scout - only focusing on guys that can possibly jump next year. I imagine Warrior and JJ will get longer looks as Seniors, as well as Trey as a 3-year guy. This is basically saying guys like Tuttle, KP, AJ, etc. aren't getting much interest. Not too surprising.
It's about recruiting and development. Not just one or the other.I bet over the last 10 years Alabama has by far put the most players in the NFL. Love to see the stat, but i bet it's pretty lopsided. It really is about the Jimmy's and the Joe's. Saban is a great coach, but he also has the best roster in college football year in and year out. The C grade is probably good for Tennessee, not pumping out the quality it once did, you see the drop off in wins. You got to have players, i don't care how good a coach you are.
