When we hired Bruce Pearl I immediately liked the hire, a good coach with energy who can win in the postseason, I am sure there are those of you that felt the same. However, did any of you think he would bring us this far, this quickly?

Absolutely not.

My immediate thought after hearing of his hire was, "Oh cool, that's the nutjob that was on PTI a couple times during the tournament."

If Brandon Rush stays in the NBA Draft, you can expect UT to be rated ahead of Kansas in at least half of the preseason polls.

for a team that struggled to score last year and lost it's only consistent scoring threat, UCLA is awfully high in these polls.

Although preseason polls are useless...it's always good to see your team near the top...especially if you are not used to it.

I see that UT is like in the top 10 in all these pre-preseason polls, but watch when the REAL preseason polls come out i wouldnt be surprised if we're ranked like 18ish or something like that

Tennessee will be in the top 10 of every preseason poll.

and we'll go undefeated for the whole first half of the season and we break the top 25 for the first time being ranked 19th

How would they break the top 25 for the first time at 19th if they started the year at "18ish"?

i guess im just not used to Tenn being ranked that high when i thought we had good teams in the past and we usually received no love from the polls, so im goin to have to c it to believe it

im goin to have to actually sit down and watch sportscenter around October and watch them name the top 5 or 10 preseason teams and c UT on there

Tennessee has never had a team that merited a top 10 preseason ranking.
