South Carolina generally has a much tougher path to win the SEC than Tech in the Big 12.
And both Steve Spurrier and Lou Holtz were well past their prime when they took over at USC.
Also, beating Cal means nothing. I don't know if you noticed this, but every good team beats Cal.
I too approve this message and as stated before if we could steal Steel, then defensive and recruiting concerns solved.Once again...Dude, it's TEXAS FREAKIN TECH!!...They are in a very rough division and its hard to win it every year...He's never had a losing record....Ever...He's put Texas Tech on the map...He develops kids about as good as anybody I've ever seen...He's a bit strange but a perfect fit for UT...His post game show and call in shows are worth the price of admission alone...He would be a breath of fresh air and would bring excitement to UT football once again...Period....I'm VOLnMiami and I approve this message![]()
You continue to say Leach has not won anything but you want Kiffin? I like Kiffin but what exactly has he EVER won?
Would you say the same things about Leach if he were averaging 8+ wins per year AND was in the middle of the NC race while coaching Miss St..... In Starkville???
TT = Miss St

Texas and OU have been the only special teams in the conference. It isn't nearly the same thing. You continue to say Leach has not won anything but you want Kiffin? I like Kiffin but what exactly has he EVER won?

I would mind giving up a ton of points, though.I'm not going to discount wins over a top 10 ranked team because its fashionable in these parts to hate on Cal. The bottom line is, Leach is beating ranked teams with some regularity now, top 10 Cal, OU and Texas included.
Being in the same division as Texas and OU is no calkwalk. If Tech wins the Big 12 South its a huge accomplishment, pure and simple.
I'm not a Leach bandwagon guy, but I'm objective enough to have a certain degree of faith in his ability to deliver some success if he's equipped with a good Def Coordinator and some great staff recruiters.
And I wouldn't hate hanging 30+ on florida, bama and georgia regularly either.
I'm not making propping up based on his success as a head coach. Its more recruiting and assembling a good staff. I also do think the Raiders were playing much better with him.You continue to say Leach has not won anything but you want Kiffin? I like Kiffin but what exactly has he EVER won?

Not much more, I still wouldn't want him. A win today would put him at two big wins in 9 years.
Tech, Okie State, A&M have never been worth anything. Up until this year, the SEC East has been considerably better than the Big 12 South. And how has the SEC been any better the past few years?
Florida/Georgia
Tennessee/SCar
Kentucky/Vandy
Sounds about like the Big XII South with
OU/Texas
TTU
Okie State/Texas A&M
Baylor
