Isn't there a deal if they leave too early they have to sit for two years? Maybe he's trying to avoid that.

Would Hendrix be welcomed back to the team if he had a change of heart? I know that is unlikely to happen but....

I think the more appropriate question is whether or not they have recruited someone into his scholarship position or not.
