I really really like the fact that Painter is from the CCM coaching tree and doesn't play any zone D. Like none. Even less than CCM's occasional 1-3-1. I think Painter's strict philosophy may bite him this game. It seems like we have MUCH more offensive success against man to man.

My biggest concern is officiating. Will they let them play and be consistent? Will they call tacky tac fouls or change their calling methods between half's? I know there is no control over it but in close games its more of a factor than most other stats. Best example one team gets in to the double bonus faster and for a longer period in the game. The fouls may even out by the end of the game but the damage is done by then.

"Consistent" is the key word especially for a defensive minded team. A player needs to know how far they can push on defense, and if the line keeps changing...The player fouls out or gets into foul trouble quick.
