Scoop score

That was a REALLY unlucky play for us. It should have been offsides to start. Then the freakin ball bounced perfectly on the fumble where their 300lb defender catches it with a ONE hand scoop in his LEFT hand and then somehow drags and gets out of a 30 second pulldown tackle by our TIGHT END to then scramble down and tiptoe the sidelines as he gets injured on the run back to barely walk into the end zone.
If so many things don't go their way on that play and its not a TD probably a different game.

Their offense was so inept at that point in the game if they don't get that fumble returned for a TD, doubt they score.

If Sanders blocks someone, it would not be a issue

Being offsides did not cause the fumble. Was he offside? Yes, but it was more than that missed call that caused this SNAFU !
Being offsides didn’t cause the fumble, but it should have negated the touchdown and we should have kept the ball. If we score on that drive we go up 10 or 14 to zero instead of it being 7-7.

But there were multiple times they were clearly offsides. No doubt about that, everyone watching could see it but the refs. Inexcusable for that and not being at the site of the tackle to mark the ball. That should not even needed a review, no way that the refs marking the spot should get pulled into the sec office and told to do better. That was plain lazy and sloppy on the refs part.

This look really makes you sick. If Sanders gets any piece of the edge rusher we have a TD to Matthews. Crazy how 1 play can completely change the game. Instead of 14-0 it's 7-7.

That’s awful. You’re right. If Sanders even slightly slows down the DE, that ball is about to go to Matthews.

We’ve been worse all around since sanders was plugged in.

I said this in another thread. I am not fully sure you can blame a freshman who just started getting first team reps over the past 3 games now. To me it looked like he was trying to block down for the run. Obviously its a learning curve. Although Joey had to hand that ball off.

Of course you can blame him. I don’t understand how someone should t take accountability for their actions. It was a play that essentially lost the game which pretty much ruined the season. That’s just the reality of the situation. We played better ball before they decided to play sanders.

That was lined up in the neutral zone all day every day. I’d bet my mortgage it would have been called on us in that situation. We get called for it about every game.

And that was a really elite Defensive Front for a third game freshman to have to face 😳
