This is my first year away from the great state of Tenn, and well it's going to impossible for me to miss every game. Basically I'm just curious if it allows me to watch every UT game. Also if possible if I can just order UT football games or if I have to do all.

Thanks

I live in Spokane, WA. I can honestly tell you that UT was on TV up here more than Florida was last year despite their season, it was great. Anyway, with the new ESPN/SEC deal it will be easier to watch UT games on the Tele. If you get ESPNU which most comcast customers now do they may be on that sometimes. If you have access to espn360 on the internet you can watch their ESPN games along with the SEC network games (like the Western Kentucky one to lead off the season. They'll have their usual 3-4 CBS games as well. Each team will get to have one game this season on pay-per-view as well. This may be gameplan time. Hope this helps.

Are you saying that there is no chance you will miss every game?

it will allow you to see every UT game that's televised but you will get their whole package (can't separate them out). You can order gameplan for just the day if you find out the UT game is not on regular channels. Also check and see if you get espn360.com and it's basically gameplan on your computer.

I like to watch all kinds of games so it makes sense to me to order the whole season and save a few bucks.

Georgia is the same day as Florida/LSU and Alabama/Ole Miss, so it's already been slotted as probably a noon game. Auburn is the same day as Georgia/LSU. The Alabama game has a decent shot at being on CBS, but if depending on what's happening, Arkansas/Ole Miss or LSU/Auburn might conceivably look more interesting. Ole Miss is the same day as Florida/Spurrier and Georgia/Auburn.

I think we'll be on CBS twice this year (UF and Bama), but if we're 3-3 or 2-4 after UGA and Alabama's lost a couple of times, we might not even get that.

And as to the OP's question: Gameplan is a must-have, especially if you're a Tennessee fan who lives out of state. In the five or six years I've been getting it, I think there's only been one game (vs LA-Lafayette a couple of years ago, I think) that hasn't been available at all. And it's great for watching other games too. Well worth it, IMO.

I had ESPN Gameplan in Las Vegas for 3 years with Cox Communications. I was shocked that I was able to see every game. This year I'm cancelling Gameplan because I work on Saturdays and also because I'm switching services (Dish Network is way cheaper). I also had the digital sports package that included ESPNU and Fox Sports South. So, I was able to see a lot a college football games and I actually needed two TVs. The new SEC deal with ESPN should make watching UT games more accessible (fingers crossed).

Booo Spokompton. (J/k)

I'm in Seattle, I got Gameplan last year and didn't miss a game. As was mentioned, 3-4 are on CBS (Florida, Georgia, Bama) and the rest were shown on Gameplan. The quality at times was crappy, as it was Raycom picked up by espn, but I did get to enjoy commentary from the 3 Daves. :/

I think it may be easier for me just to order GP, i live in Hawaii this year and it's by far a big time change. With that being said i could just record it and watch when i wake up. I have ESPNU , so i guess ill just wait until the season starts.

Thanks for replies!!

Also does anyone have exact cost for gameplan?

The early bird special was $119 (or 115, can't remember) this year through Verizon...not sure if that is the case with everyone or just them.

Any other year i'd tell you to order gameplan, but with espn picking up more sec games and 360 readily available. It might be better to just order it for the day. Probably see most games without needing gameplan this year.

last year, if I remember correctly each weekend cost $29.95. The only game that has not been televised Is LA-Laf(i went to that game so I got to see it) because UT exceeded their 3 PPV game per year and noboby picked the game up. The game would have been p/u by ESPN if we would have change the kick-off time but AD-MH did not won't to change the time due to it being HC.

Question for you.

I'm gonna be in Maui during the UCLA game and Florida game. Because these are national broadcasts, I suppose that ESPN and the local CBS station will show them there?

I live in Houston. Between Gameplan and National TV I saw every Tennessee game last year with the exception of UAB. That was due to IKE destroying power lines not availabilty. Of couse I miss one of our wins.!
