Schedule- UF game

my point was that UF doesn't want to load up hard games at the end of the season. They always end with a patsy and then FSU

We've got LSU, UGA, SoCar, and FSU this year. Thopse are the # 3, 4, 5, and 6 ranked teams in the country at the moment. Add on away games at Texas A&M and Tennessee.

Y'all need to quit ur bytchn about Florida's schedule.

Only schedule I'm gonna bytch about it Georgia's. Ridiculous how they missed all the good teams in the west 2 years in a row.

At least you get to pay #1 Bama and #2 Oregon if you win all those.

All that said, do you honestly think either team has an advantage where the game is currently scheduled?

This season UT had the home field advantage, scheduling advantage and were favored to win the game.

I agree with your opinion of this year's game; that's why everybody here is either really mad that UT lost or busy calling someone else a nega-Vol.

I do think the conditions in Gainesville in September help them a bit against teams that aren't used to that kind of heat.

I attended grad school at UF for two years and went to every home game. September day games at UF are miserable. UF handled it as well as they could - they gave away cups of ice for free at the concession stands and sold small bottled water for $1 each. Neyland can be hot in September, but it doesn't compare to the dehydrating, mind-numbing heat of the Swamp.

I admire how you apparently manage your time so you're available at a moment's notice to dedicate two hours on a Vol board anytime somebody starts talking about UF. That's trolling dedication. Hats off. (Seriously.)

I would like to see it moved. Worked out pretty well for us in 2001. Also, Georgia didn't have a problem getting the USCe game moved from the 2nd week to later, which made their already easy schedule easier. Bums!

Your right it Worked for us they had about a dozen hurt players by the time we got them, maybe that would work.
Who says they want to change the dates? They really would like to drop us after 8 years of losing.

hart and dooley need to demand that the SEC move the game to late in the year, maybe the last SEC game.

Doesn't the SEC make up the conference schedule? And what exactly would moving the game to November accomplish? Are you hoping that homecoming game against the Ragin Cajuns makes us vulnerable? We played Texas A&Mon the road before we came to your place this year. Other years recently we played Miami or USF right before you. Did it help?

...Today it is a mute point and is not going to happen unless UT threatens something drastic like moving out which is not going to happen. So every SEPT when this game kicks off a certain ol ball coach is smiling.
:)

*mutt

Seriously, I don't want to be That Guy/Girl, but this makes me crazy. It's moot, not mute. "Mute" means soundless, unable to speak. "Moot" means debatable, disputable, doubtful; somewhat like this post. :)

Have a nice day. :hi:
