Dooley kept talking last week that this team really has no scars and that really worried him, meaning they weren't really that battle tested, esp. in harsh environments. Well, they got some today. Hopefully, Stone learns from his wounds today and gets over his big game bad snaps. The O-line as a whole maybe takes it personally and really begins run blocking well. The young linebackers will learn from missing tackles and getting lost in pre-snap assignments. Palardy can somehow get over big kick jitters and be as accurate in a game as he is in practice. I could go on and on.
The good thing is this team is really young and will do alot of "healing" the next couple weeks. Scar tissue is really, really tough and once it heals, it is strong as ever. We are improving as a team, and the scars obtained from today will help the Vols back to being SEC and National title contenders in the future.
More scars will come, but this team is on the rise and has a promising look in the future! We are getting better, and are on our way back. GO VOLS!
