Scares me! Team's unusual arrangements

Keeneland and UK normally work around each other to avoid scheduling a home game on the day of the BC. No wonder people are staying home. Traffic and parking will be a clusterfrick.

Wonder what happens if the UT buses get gridlocked? Maybe we'll have police escorts wearing orange vests all the way from Cincy, LOL.

Bought a vehicle through a local dealer 20 years ago. They had to locate what I wanted at another dealership in Louisville. To save $500, the wife & I drove the vehicle they were "trading" them for the one we bought. One thing we noticed was that every car we passed with KY tags contained truly ugly people. Ever since when we see a car with KY tags, we look at each other and say, "I bet they're ugly." 9 times out of 10, they are. I'm no prize, but dang. These folks were uglier than a mud fence.

Lmao the only thing good to come out of Kentucky is bourbon and corvettes

this will not be an accepted excuse by me if we somehow lose the game....which I expect to win the remaining games

Uh, Keeneland has never hosted the BC

Remember we are playing Kentucky, don't be scared. Sounds like a cool road trip. That's a great NFL experience, while in college.

Go Vols!

def sounds cool to me. would love to practice in a nfl stadium. its a 7 pm game they have plenty of time to bus an hour and a half. you guys are ridiculous thinking that's a big deal. I bused one time in college 2 and a half hours in the morning for a 3 pm game. didn't affect anyone on our team they'll be fine

Pretty cool for a college kid to practice at a pro facility I think. This sort of buzz gets out and can help in recruiting.. maybe just a little.

Ever been in the infield at The Derby? To quote Keith Jackson, "Whooooooa, Nellie!"
Almost every year. But it's not the same as it was 5 or so years ago. They've fenced off a big part in the middle and charge additional entry fee into the -nfield club". We sit in the GS which allows you via your wrist band to gain access.
However Keeland is as different to ChurchHill as bologna is to beef filet.

Strange they did not book last year but maybe breeders cup had it locked down for several years.

Eh. Neyland is bigger than every pro stadium except perhaps the Taj MaJerry outside of Dallas.

I like your pic. I had a t-shirt waaaay back in the day as a kid with that on it. Loved that shirt.

I've heard that. I went several years ago. One of my buddies who is a current NCAA assistant coach/former SEC assistant coach is a Louisville native and goes every year. Nobody parties like college football coaches. See Sarkisian, Steve. Put them in the infield at Churchill Downs, and it's utter pandemonium. I don't see how his liver is still functioning. Best puke and rally guy I've ever seen.

Why not just stay here? It's only 3 hours to Lexington. Or hell, fly in to Lexington on a charter. It's a 20 minute flight.

It's good to get the players away from campus the night before the game, get them focused.

Heck, a lot of schools take the players away from campus to a hotel the night before home games for just that purpose. Don't know if the Vols do, but I expect so.

No. Both the Kentucky Derby and Dubai are way bigger and infinitely more prestigious.

The 50,000 without seats and standing room, what are they going to be doing?

Pharoah wouldn't even be there if they lost the last leg of the TC

They draw a larger crowd, but no way is the Derby more prestigious.

People mad about this remind me of the people mad that Butch was at a high school game the night before a UT game

Yes, they do.
