If you want to hear a Tennessee game and listen to favorable announcers then listen to the Vols broadcast. My gosh people you complain about CBS announcers ESPN not reporting anything good,

I'm sure there will be plenty of Tebow refrences today.... I will be very suprised if they don't open up with a piece on Tebow, life after Tebow or at least talk to Tebow.... They are going to feel the need to cover up UF 30th arrest..... The will bring Timmy up on every third and short also... be prepared, today will be a Tebow lovefest like we have never seen before..... This will be their last chance to celebrate "the blessing" Tim Tebow....

Of course I could be wrong, they could turn on UF since Timmy isn't there anymore... I highly doubt that will happen this year....It will most likely be next year if they do turn on the UF...

I would have loved to hear them off camera when Bama spanked TT & UF's a$$..... I bet they didn't sleep for days...

I have been really impressed with UT's own Charles Davis as a commentator. I think he does games for Fox. Charles is one of the best in the business with his knowledge and style. Class guy.

Be prepared for this...

CBS studio host : Stay tuned now for Florida at Tennessee!

Dramatic music begins as scene fades to a pair of empty cleats...

Vernes speaks in a grave tone: College football is measured in eras. Heroes come and move on and new ones arrive.

(Scene fades to Tebow and all of his great plays)

Verne: But how do fill the shoes of a football god? The ultimate spiritual leader and field general. How do you replace the passion?

(Scene goes to Tebow screaming like an idiot, fist pumping and finally weeping like a child.)

Verne: The search will be hard...

(Scene shows the many miscues of the Florida offense)

Verne: But no one in Gator Nation dreamed that the road would be this rocky.

(Scene fades to close up of Urban)

Verne: The Gators are in need of leadership and luckily they have none better than the man at the helm to right the ship! It is a given that the Florida woes will not last long with Urban Meyer showing the youngsters the way!

(Scene fades to Lane Kiffin)

Verne speaking quickly, rushing through it : Tennessee has seen changes as well.

(Scene of the Stadium)

Verne : Today it's the Florida Gators taking on their SEC East rivals!!! Oh and by the way, TIM TEBOW!!!!!!!!

Commercial break...

With all due respect, I think you're wrong. :hi:

Verne won't realize, until maybe the second half, that St. Timmy is not even in the game. :)

Verne needs to retire. Having said that, watching CBS is better than watching ESPN3 on my computer!

I'd say that's a pretty good script. You know there will be an over dramatic intro.

I have yet to watch a game on CBS this year, but are Verne and Danielson still the duo? Verne seems like a nice old man but should stick to the 16th at Augusta. Maybe life after Tebow will make them more tolerable.

Danielson tried to move to NFL coverage, so he could keep covering his man crush, Tebow

Danielson might be the best color guy in the business.

Verne is great, just old. He needs to retire. Not sure who you get to replace him though. I was pro-Ron Franklin, but he has now retired.

Verne, with his negatives, is still 1,000,000 than Mike Patrick though. And other that the drinking game, Brent Musberger can fall off the face of the earth for all I care.

Nothing was better than Saturday night SEC games on ESPN in the mid to late 90s with Gottfried and Franklin. I remember watching Auburn's gymnastics building burn to the ground right behind Jordan Hare during the LSU game in 96.

I really liked Gottfried and Franklin as well. I like to listen to SEC games with the commentators having that southern drawl. Not listening to that little weasel Danielson and his sidekick Verne butchering the English language.

They would do a pretty good job when Florida and Tebow weren't playing. Verne would still find someway to throw a Tebow refernce out in everygame though.

Don't worry. It will happen again today. They will have a period of mourning to get over his departure. Verne might cry today.

All of this. Verne is awesome regardless of his occasional bias and Gary Danielson is no slouch either.

I can't stand Musberger myself.

Herbstreit and Musburger are the best today. 2nd is Mike Patrick and Todd Blackledge.
