I know Lundquist would go off talking about Chism's headband for 20 minutes at a time and start rattling off stats of how he played with it on compared to when it was off. It always cracked my dad and I up.

I might be in the minority but I've always liked Verne and Gary on CBS games.

Blackledge is the most informative color guy in cfb.
CBS is my favorite channel to watch the Vols,I guess because you know its a big game . Verne isn't that bad when his mancrush Tebow isn't playing and Danielson is better than the majority of clowns on espn.

Nothing was better than Saturday night SEC games on ESPN in the mid to late 90s with Gottfried and Franklin. I remember watching Auburn's gymnastics building burn to the ground right behind Jordan Hare during the LSU game in 96.

Those two are the worst IMO. Every single FL game they did last year was all about the greatness of Tebow. And Verne could barely follow the game let alone know any of the rules. Danielson would be ok without Verne, but the two together are terrible. And the problem going forward is going to be them calling a game and comparing FL or the SEC now and when Tebow played. And that's not something I want to deal with. So Verne needs to go, bottom line.

I don't care who announces the game, our tilt with UF is usually the first college football game on CBS every year and just hearing the CBS college football intro for the first time every year makes it officially football time to me.

Vern will work in his Tebow slobbering into every NFL intro for Sunday's games, do a shot with "Tebow" and the beer chaser with "Broncos"
