So with the Raiders about to go up another TD on Tampa with 2:00 left, when does Monte arrive on the Hill?

Its official now. Bucs lost. well I am not thrilled about it but Monte gets more time to recruit for the vols now.

it's got to be awkward in the Bucs locker room right now. Their DC who has been there their whole career is about to leave and they just pissed away their chance at making the playoffs.

NO!!! The winner of the Dallas/Philly game will now get that 6 seed. I'm thrilled for many reasons.
1. I'd love to see Monte get to work for UT as soon as tomorrow.
2. I HATE THE BUCS!!!!!

And I know you have to look at his whole body of work, but his players looked like they quit on defense after his announcement. In the last 4 weeks, they have given up 30+ points 3 times ... and one of those against the Raiders. Don't get me wrong ... I love that we're getting Monte. But, the last month was brutal for their defense.

Yes, I agree. I was thinking much the same in the past few weeks. Every time I saw a TB game or TB highlights and the defense was not looking very good I thought "man, I bet if I was a TB fan, I would be really pissed off at Monte Kiffin for announcing he was taking that job - these defensive players just look like they quit."

And that bit about showing the Gator highlights spliced into the Panthers' film before their monday night game? I would have been LIVID after the egg that the defense laid against the Panthers. You don't mess around and show those gator highlights mixed in with your real opponent unless you've already got all your prep down pat - which they obviously didn't.

I agree their defense did not seem the same since they found out Monte was leaving.

Their defense is rather old too I believe (age wise). I'd say it's possible they are tiring after a long season.

Monte's D at TB has looked terrible the last few weeks. It looks like the players quit awhile back.

So, a team performs poorly after hearing their coach is leaving. This happened not to long ago if I remember right. But it wasn't in the pros.

i'm sad my bears choked today. both the bucs and cowboys lost. i believe if the bears won they'd be in. oh well have to pull for the titans all the way now.
