Yeah, that number stands out to me as fake. I don't seem to remember gas being under $2.00 in over 8 years.

Gas prices really dipped down in late 2008. I'm not sure if it was under $2.00, but it definitely took a dive.

In '09 it was definitely at least 2.10$... I remember attending boomsday here in Knoxville and posting on facebook about how high the prices were. The principle still stands, though... however, the administration has very little to do with what OPEC feels like doing.

Gotta remember TN is lower than most states on everything save the sales tax. Still, ten cents is a lot when you're pumping 6 gallons at a time.

It was well below 2 bucks at some point early in 09. Can't remember what month but I remember putting 22-23 gallons in my 26 gallon tank for like 35 bucks.

He then went on to tell lie after lie after lie after lie.

Unfortunately there are people who belive what he says.
