Saw Eric Berry yesterday

My family and I were in Knoxville this weekend, and stopped by the Neyland-Thompson center so my kids could see the indoor practice field.

About 30 of the defensive players were in there running some drills and working out...among them was Eric Berry.

The guys were in GREAT spirits, were having a fantastic time and seemed to have some great chemistry. Eric looked larger than last year and was wearing a t-shirt that said "Beast". He certainly looked like a beast.

We had a great time watching and the guys were great with my kids. All in all, after hearing some rumors that the players were apprehensive about the new staff and the new styles, it looked like they were doing just fine to me!

i have heard that they werent digging the 5 am workouts but i havent heard anything about them not liking the new styles. am i missing something?

Wilks tried to get a tattoo but the needles kept breaking when they touched his skin.

well, I had just heard little comments here and there from people who claim to have "inside sources" - everyone on VolNation knows how reliable that is.

But I was there and saw it for myself, it seemed these guys are ready to go, and with the new S&C coach, they seem to be getting bigger and stronger...I'm thrilled to see what comes out of spring practice!

Did you stumble across any of the O-line?

My hope is that those guys have a well-earned chip on their shoulders that motivates them to levels far beyond last season.

No, only saw defense...there were all kinds of different workouts going on - we actually spent a few minutes just talking to different players in the locker room, but they were all defense.

The drills we did watch very very smooth...the last several times I've been there in recent years, the mood wasn't ever nearly that upbeat.

I've seen EB around campus a few times. Everytime I do, he seems to be bigger. He is pretty ripped right now.
