Saw a UCLA fan today

I was walking to class and he was touring the campus I suppose. Just reminded me how close Saturday is!

Then I had to pay attention in class but all I could think about is putting a lickin' on the boys from out west

no it was an old guy, gave him a subtle, but strong GO VOLS. He just laughed, he knows what's coming!

I have to say, that of all the away fans I've been around, UCLA were some of the nicest anywhere. I went out there in '97 and they were really great.

Restaurants in Pasadena even made Sweet Tea for us Southerners - even if it was the worst you've ever had, at least they tried. (Apparently they didn't know you have to put the sugar while it's hot...).

Hopefully they enjoy their stay in K-town this weekend and are treated well by us Vol fans – and don’t take the whoopin’ their team gets on the field too personally.

I think it is funny that you gave them a "go vols" I went to Daytona Beach Bike week a few years ago wearing my power T hat. I went to a charity to give money and the guy had the nerve to say "Go Gators" it really pissed me off that he did that so I swore I would never be like that to anybody! A few months later I was at a bar in knoxville and a wedding party came in to drink. The bride of this party was from Florida and her brothers and cousins and stuff were at the bar. I get a "Go gators" I was more pissed about that. The way I feel is, if I am in Florida and they want to talk trash, I can handle it, I am in their state. I think it is very rude but I can somewhat handle it. If they come into Knoxville and do that crap, I am ready to fight! So basically what I am saying is, have respect for the other teams fans! That might be something they remember about Knoxville!

The majority of these so called in-state gator fans have not been true fans their whole life. They are those that follow the teams that are currently having a good run. I went to the Cal game @ Cal a few years ago and there was actually a Florida fan at the game.....i thought it made them look really stupid.

the rest of us will be there friday, our plane leaves LAX at 6am.
instead of yelling go vols, we'd like rocky top serenaded to us as we drink ourselves silly. good night, i need to wake up in about 5 hours. can't wait!1

i'm thinkin after this weekend you will not want too hear
rocky top again for a couple of years.:peace2:

I think decent minded fans do it just for fun. I see no problem with it as long as it is not rubbed in my face.
