First time poster here. Wife and I will be at the game on Saturday and was wondering if any Tennessee fans will be in Lot P south of Mizzou's basketball arena? Hoping to meet up with some folks.

I'm expecting a frustrating win. Where TN should put them away early but mistakes or conservative play calling let Missouri back in the game. In the second half their QB starts looking like a Heisman candidate, converting several third downs. On 4th down and short, TN stops the conversion, but CJ is flagged for defensive holding sustaining the drive. The game ends when on 4th and goal, 3 seconds on the clock, the ball on the 6 yard line, DB rushes off the end and sacks the QB! Game over but damn.

If we lose I'll be pissed but I won't be surprised. Our offense is gimmicky and Missouri's defense is legit. Their offense is also horrendous though. This will be a pretty boring game most likely. Lots of field goals.

Be like the UF and Vandy game.

I think we are headed into a hornets nest. Don't expect a win. Will be very happy to see a win regardless of how we get t or by how much.

Why shouldn't we complain if we lose? Everyone penciled this in as a win in August. What's changed except that Mizzou is actually worse than most predicted? Can't believe anyone would have a meh attitude over losing this game.

If we win, it will pretty much be what it is now.

If we lose, think back to the reaction after the Arkansas game.

But we won't lose. Missouri is garbage.

the defense isn't garbage. not by a long shot.

3 weeks ago i felt pretty good about this game. watching them against UGA and Vandy, and i was like "whoa".

since then, they've had all the protests, president quitting, pinkel retiring, and beat BYU.

i think this team we're facing Saturday is completely different than the team that played Vandy and GA.

which sucks. this game has me nervous.

"Nerve Focus"

i don't even know what kind of buzz word you could use for this game.

i know this...for MO it's not just a typical game. they certainly don't feel like the team that lost ugly to GA and Vandy right now.

they're galvanized behind their coach and students. and feeling pretty good about themselves.

we, on the other hand are "not apologizing for winning".

i have no idea how to read this game, for me it's moved beyond x's and o's and match ups. i think this will be an emotional game, and can we match them?

i honestly don't know. 3 weeks ago, this was a W. today, i won't be surprised one bit if we lose.

Should be

"Saturdays game will be a test for Butch Jones"

Our fanbase has been tested enough. We are still here after the last 10 years

Fans are not the problem

If we win: 100's of new threads about how sloppy we won.

If we lose: 100,000 new threads about how bad Butch sucks and needing to bench Dobbs.

And if we lose badly 0 threads cause Volnation Forum will Self Destruct!:yes:

Who said fans were the problem?

A ton of posters on here. One poster has not only suggested but actually flat out said that negative fans in the stands at home games vs Oklahoma and Arkansas have directly led to losses this year....that the negative energy they were sending down to Shields-Watkins Field was just too much for the team to overcome.....our boys just couldn't beat Oklahoma, Arkansas and all our bad fans at once...... I'm not kidding.
