Win big - everyone will get high and mighty

Cover the spread - "About what I expected"

Barely win - complain

Lose - complain a lot

A win is expected, so fans will celebrate the W and turn the focus to Vandy. A loss would make fans vocally, loudly, rabidly pissed off all week long.

Win or lose, I will turn off the TV and go to bed. While I am a fan, this game is not a test for me at all. However, it is a test for the coaches and players to see if they can beat Missouri in Columbia under less than ideal conditions. I hope they are up to the task.

I will watch and I hope UT wins, but that's about all I have invested in this game. And, like it or not, it's the same for everyone else on this board unless you have a kid playing.

If we lose I'll be pissed but I won't be surprised. Our offense is gimmicky and Missouri's defense is legit. Their offense is also horrendous though. This will be a pretty boring game most likely. Lots of field goals.

I expect a win every game but I don't get bat**** crazy if it doesn't happen.

It's cut and dry to me. Any win will be acceptable. Any loss will be unacceptable and the grumblings will begin anew.

Under these circumstances, I'll be happy if we win, whether by 1 or 50. That likely isn't true with everyone here though, and if we win a close, ugly one there will certainly be some whiners. I think the most important thing is to close the last 2 out and finish 8-4, regardless of how we do it.

If we lose... well... I may want to stay away from here next week.

if we win, we didn't win well enough
if we win by a lot, the backups didn't get to play enough
if we lose, fire the coach and the president and the provost

You don't need to wait til Saturday. It'll be what it is today, just even MORE exaggerated, which I didn't think was possible.

If we lose to Mizzou, watch out for Vandy. They'll be just as motivated to beat us, and we get them back at the pasture.

Before the season started, I said Butch couldn't lose to three teams this year:

Florida
Arkansas
Mizzou

Guess how many of these must win games we have left???

Any win is acceptable.

A loss and fire up the moving vans. That's a trifecta of losses on must win games for 2015. Butch may survive, but we may need to think about bringing in the BSiA in the off-season.

If we win, it will pretty much be what it is now.

If we lose, think back to the reaction after the Arkansas game.

But we won't lose. Missouri is garbage.

There are only 2 regular season games left, then long black hole until the bowl game then total darkness for 8 months. I will complain some if we lose but also appreciate having games to watch.

Well, I can only answer this for myself, but as far as I'm concerned:

Win and I'll be a fan of the Vols who thinks this staff is making consistent improvement despite being left with a completely bare cupboard with which to work.

Lose, on the other hand, and I'll be...well...pretty much the same.

A loss to mizzou or vandy is a step back for a program on an upward trajectory. We should win out on talent difference alone, but there are the intangibles that can make difference in the outcome.

Oh, no! Lets hope not.
