Ditto that Spread Option offense relies on a lot of that as you pointed out....Should help us if we can run on that Gator defense, just hoping for a win, I don't care how we get itIf the Vols can get the running game going early I think rain benefits UT. The rain could effect UF's offense some since they utilize some pitches, reverses, etc. may make ball exchanges a little more difficult. On the other hand if UT can't get the running game going and Ainge is forced to throw the ball not sure how well his pinky is and how rain might effect his grip. A wet track definatley neutralizes speed a bit so that may also play to UT's advantage.
This should put a spin on things. 50% chance of thunderstorms and 70% chance of rain all day. The hurricane is moving in and will bring substantial rain to the central florida region. Bring your panchos!
Let the statistics begin of how each team plays in the rain...
40 % chance of rain, mostly in the afternoon, is the correct forecast. That's standard for Florida in mid-September. There's no hurricane bearing down on us.
7-Day Forecast for Latitude 29.69N and Longitude -82.35W

Temp rather than rain is the scary factor in this forecast. How in the hell do people live in and 98 degree weather in September?

yeah i really don't think its going to rain here...every time the weather channel says 50% chain of rain, it rarely rains....but we haven't had rain in a while so maybe it will. I think rain definitely benefits UT this year.
and i hope to h*** it doesn't rain, because I don't want any excuses...
Having done it for 3 years, your own pool is a necessity.
The afternoon rain is usually a welcome reprise from the oppressive heat of the morning. I remember when we moved to Tampa (first of July, 6 years ago), our neighbors said it hadn't rained in like 6 weeks. That day, a storm came through, and it rained every day for nearly two months.
Oh, and in case you hadn't noticed, it's been 90-105 degrees in Tennessee for the past two months. Not much relief here!
