Saturday Down South predicts Vols record...

It would.

They complement each other.

I find it comical that some quickly jump to the idea that JGs problem has been the OL or the running game (basically anything or anyone but him) but dont mention the QB or OL when talking about the running game.
That's exactly what I say. Better QB play would enhance the running game. These JG slurpers can't swallow their pride long enough to admit that.

I've never seen a QB who plays as bad as he does have such devoted defenders.

I would’ve assumed that Bailey would be ready to start. Freshman QBs are more ready than back then. However, with the spring practices out of the picture, I couldn’t guess at this point what will happen.
I wish we would just start him as a freshman and get hi
Against BYU, UF and Bama we didn't break 200 yards passing.
We had a respectable 250 yards against UGA but that was Maurer.

Our passing game has been average to poor for years.

There is a reason Pruitt chose to play 3 QBs last year.

Whle JG was quite inconsistent, the running game was worse. There is no denying that.

It's easy for me compared to some. I dont need JG to be the QB. I dont need him to not be the QB.

If he is, he has to be better than he has been. And while some like to pretend it's the OL, the RBs, the WRs, or the OCs fault. Hes been a very inconsistent player since hes been here. And that's going on 5 years.

The facts are what they are. He got yanked in his 4th season for a guy in his first season. He didnt get yanked for a play, or a series, a half or even a game. He rebounded and had that been his finish to the season the story would and should be different. After he struggled with Vandy and IU to end the year, mainly due to the same issues, he left the same question that it looked like he had the answer to just a few weeks before.

UT is not near the top level at the QB position. He doesnt have to be Burrow or Tua, but he needs to be closer to that than what he is. If hes not, it's time to figure how who the next guy is.

I'm not exactly one of the JG defenders but the running game has in fact been turd like in all aspects.
That ain't the reason JG struggles but it damn sure doesnt help. At all. Makes it worse.

Oh, I agree. Running game blows. I expected Chandler to have a breakout season and that clearly didn't happen. But a RB sucking doesn't have the same impact on QB play that a QB who sucks has on the RB play.

True. I have a feeling we will see an improved version of JG this season. Probably not a world beater but I think he will do well enough to give the rest of our team a chance to compete in every game.

Am I missing something with South Carolina? Why does anyone think they have more than a 10% chance to beat us? They would have to get very lucky I think.

Not only will Bailey not be ready, imagine the most likely regression of JG now.

“and even though Tennessee played well against Kentucky the past 2 years, that’s by no means an automatic win.”

53-14-2 overall record...yet we seem to have only played well against them for the past two years. Give me a break.

We’re Kentucky’s daddy. Please stop trying to make them relevant. That’s a W.
Ha Ha -- the safest bet in college sports. I'm putting big money on it in July as soon as that new app is ready

I think this is the year, for those who like to spread a little money around, to bet on the Vols, because they are going to be under-rated at the beginning of the season. The odds will favor you. I'm basing this on my confidence in the coaching staff Pruitt has assembled who I think are as good as any other staff in the league and better than most.

Only 3 teams in the SEC averaged more than 240 yards passing per game, we averaged 221. We averaged a measly 144 yards rushing, 3rd worst in the league, when we need at least 170 yrds/game to remotely resemble a balanced team. You're asking JG to be top 4 or better in the league passing before we can improve our offense, I'm saying if our running game picks up 30 yrds a game in order to somewhat balance our offense then we can win with JG as a game manager who makes good 3rd down decisions and throws.
