We are around 30% on 3rd down right now. This is terrible and I would not be surprised if it was not worst in the league. The Mauer recruit looks the part if we can hold on to him till signing day.

At least it's an opinion, not very positive but REAL as all the realist like to say. I personally feel like we will win big at some point with JG at the helm. A top QB would be great but they don't come with many more tools than he possesses. We won a NC with a tough gritty qb, no reason to think we can't do it again sometime.

We won a NC with a game changer at QB. He was totally different than our previous players and he could thrown the ball downfield. Tee could check out of a bad play when needed, he could read defenses and not throw the ball into coverage. Comparing their toughness is ok but that is about as far as that comparison should go.

I have a good idea as to why we struggle, I also feel like we are improving and will continue to do so. If you can't see it you may not know much about the sport. I use to scratch my head and try to figure it out but I outgrew that childish behavior, unfortunately many of our fans have not. You obviously only think that we suck and should just moan and groan about it.

Lol, I loved Tee Martin but saying he could read the defense his 1st year is funny. We only ran like 5 plays the entire year to keep it simple. He greatly improved that skill as has JG after 11 games started. Keep moaning about JG though as I'm sure it's helping our team out.

OP I also hope UT wins this upcoming Saturday (not too optimistic but he11 who knows). It would be nice to see CJP get his first signature win. Auburn may come out flat again like they did against MSU and the VOLS could come ready to play beating the tigers at their stadium for the first time in forever. That is why the game is played right? Question is do you honestly believe NEGAVOLS or negative nancies are the reason Fulmer was axed? 2005 and 2008 come to mind? Time will tell if CJP and company are SEC material or not. Go VOLS!

Sorry if understanding why we are not winning hurts your precious little heart. We are a top 15 all time program and I guess wanting to top 15 QB is too much to ask for you? Are you one of those who think a serviceable QB and a good D will win the NC? Cause if so just look back at the last 20 years or so of LSU football and ask them how it has worked for them. When they get a game changer at QB they will challenge Bama but until then they will play just like they have. At this point having a "serviceable" QB would be an upgrade.
Do you think Pruitt was only talking about the tight ends when he said "we have to do what they know"? He was speaking about everyone.

Feel all you want its a free country. But the facts are against you. What is the improvement? Seriously. Is it losing every game lost so far by 26 points exactly instead of getting super blown out like last year? Is it actually scoring a TD in every game so far instead of being blanked or kicking field goals? If this is the what counts as improvement this program is dead.

Absolutely believe it. Those of us on Gridscape witnessed it. Fulmer had 2 bad seasons and was struggling a bit but somehow still recruiting effectively, still working hard and still passionate after 40+ loyal years in orange. Fulmer was the one that got stabbed in the back! Back then we had 30 or so nancies who thought Fulmer stabbed majors in the back and EVERY day they would post Fire Fulmer he is terrible type post. It got old, Fulmer fans didn't speak up, we had a dummy AD that listened to the ugly minority mob of Fulmer haters and next thing you knew we had foolishly hired the teflon don in Kiffin. Our downslide started the day they ran Fulmer out of town. They still think they were right. Negative people always think that the grass is greener somewhere else and they got what they wished for. Negative nancies also killed the Bama program before commie saban got there and told them all to f@$+ off and get gone, that he nor his team wanted or needed their negative attitude. Tn was one of the few programs back then that had a significant internet following that allowed the minority mob to be heard and rule the roost. Fl, Ga, Bamma and the Vols invented the social media mob in college sports through their message boards and each program has suffered at times because of it I feel. I do however feel that our mob saved us by getting Currie fired and the right pieces in place for a resurrection, but I feel like both sunshine pumpers and NegaVols played a bi-partisan role in that glorious day!

not for nothing, but Pruitt has pretty much defined that.

and sadly, it's just little things...lining up right, getting all 11 players to execute a play correctly, then a series, then a quarter, then a half etc, etc, etc...

based on what we've seen so far, he's not bee lying to us. he's said from the jump we have a long way to go, and that process would be more important than results right now.

don't have to like it. i don't. but he's not said anything but that kind of stuff.

It’s pretty ironic that you are calling out “nega vols” for voicing their negative opinions, yet you have no problem voicing your negative opinion of them to everyone. Even going to the extent of making a thread to call them out. The “negavols” May be annoying but they don’t bite unless you give them the bait. If you are making rational, well thought out posts then they won’t answer you back anyways so what’s the harm in what they do. You make the statement that their hurting the program, I’m just gonna go on and burst your bubble. No one inside the program gives two sh$&$ About what is said on this site. My point is don’t be a hypocrite and just don’t read their posts if it bothers you that bad, scroll around past that bs. The VOLS always have a chance to win no matter what, hopefully the bye week has them reenergized for the stretch run!

Once again why attack and why not debate? JG was a top qb out of high school as are most of our QBs, the only perfect QB we ever recruited was Peyton. I would love to have another one of him and hopefully Pruitt will find one but as of now and the next 2 years JG is the guy, he's got lots of skills and is improving, just think where he would be if he had started the 1st game last season like he should have. Also we have a 1st year staff, mistakes are going to be made, that's kinda how you learn to do things right. Keep being miserable though, it seems to be working for you as I assume that as one of the most valued members of this board our team and staff are hanging on every piece of info you give out.
