lol you serious? Ryan has put up record numbers his time in the league. The fact he balled out with shannahan then the offense sputtered with Sark should be a question mark.

Yes seriously, Matt Ryan has done less with more than any qb in probably the history of football. He really can’t read a defense. But has crazy anticipation & accuracy.

And trying to compare sark as a downgrade in production from Shanny in the NFL is hard to do and be honest with yourself. This year ATL with sark had one hand tied behind their back with Freeman hurt.

You think any program is gonna make a statement like that? Love him or hate him, Barnhart is about as official voice of the SEC as there is. Barnhart is far from a “beat writer”.

While I don't have any idea what they are paying him. A person would be naive to think Liberty couldn't afford that kind of money. The school is a money making machine, they are our biggest competitor ( I work at Lee University) and have plenty of money. Don't assume due to them being a small private school...money isn't there; it is!

I understand about Liberty paying well but they were the fall back option here.

I don't know, I'm not sure that UT ever looked at him. Yes, there were rumors but really, do we know for sure? What better place to get spiritual healing and redemption. No, I don't think it will be a long stint, but it will be long enough to cleanse his bad deeds. At this time in his life, the move is solid.

Barnhart is the Sports Talk host, Matthews is the beat writer. Until anything is confirmed by either CJP or AD Phil Fulmer, it is simply conjecture.

Practically every respectable media source covering SEC and Tennessee reported Pruitt interviewed Freeze. Many thought it was a done deal but suddenly it died. Fill in the blanks where you want.

Tony Barnhart is probably the most respected member of college football media as evidenced by his affiliation with ESPN, SEC Network, CBS and numerous other outlets. Doug Matthews is long time former Tennessee assistant who’s very close to the current AD and has several radio shows across the state. He says nothing that Fulmer would not approve.

Pride85 Is completely wrong with his description of these people but I’m not surprised.

The blank is that he got offered the HC job at Liberty which is a better job than OC at Tennessee. Especially in a league that wants results now and very little talent to work with.

And like someone already said, idk what his salary is, but Liberty is more than a capable of matching whatever we would have paid him.

Yeah i know. Sometime it's just fun to put Kiffin's name out there for some Vol Nation to melt down. I mean Kiffin is a real good play caller and Saban did hire him for 2 years.
