Logic, reasoning, or statistics has nothing to do with it....it was all Sark's fault. And no way in Hell was it the defense's fault.......nicky oversees the defense and dammit nicky is the best coach to ever draw a breath on planet earth (blue font). This is the sh!t I have been listening to, still listening to, and don't see an end of listening to.

Sarkisian's resume is solid enough to hire for the position, but I wonder if such a risky hire is prudent for Pruitt in year 2? Pruitt's no where near the hot seat, but a disastrous season or some embarrassing relapse from Sark could put Pruitt a little closer to the hot seat heading into year three than he would like. Pruitt does seem to like to gamble (if onsides kick frequency is a good gauge) so it will be interesting to see what he does with this hire.

The only fly in the ointment is they're 27th in total rushing yards and ypg is just shy of 100 at 97.3.

Would love to see better rushing stats but I'm fine with the rest of it.

I think he's firmly on the hot seat there. They're something like 11 ppg lower this season

Can't hang that debacle on Friend. That was CBJ. Even the freshmen. There's a stigma attached to us. As bottom feeders, our recruiters have a hard sell. And, that's where it all starts

I'm on board with the hire honestly. Former head coach, has had success as a OC on both levels, works with QBs. Not a homerun per se, but it's easily a ground rule double.

I don’t know the ins and outs but my guess is Sark has a contract year to complete. It’s pretty common for NFL guys moving to college to complete the regular season before announcing they are leaving. If he is indeed the guy Pruitt wants then he won’t be fired from the Falcons. They will let him resign and move on.

I’m not for or against Sark. He would be a fine hire and definitely seems to fit the mold of what Pruitt wants more than some of the other names that were floated around last month. If he was good enough for Saban then I’m sure he is good enough for TN.

But he wasn't good enough. Kiff got him there and after he left, Saban sent him packing. Ifhis heart was truly in the NCAA, he would not have left Bama voluntarily.

What was the pay difference? He didn’t take a position coach job in the NFL. He took an OC job. Hell... Saban did the same thing when he was on the verge of making LSU into what Bama has become.

For those of us that didn't like the Pruitt hire, a Sark hire may be a blessing in disguise. Sark will have Pruitt fired within 24 months of stepping on campus. Guy couldn't engineer drives against my grandma.

I can be counted as one who else not like the Pruitt hire, but I hate to see the team fail to be proven right. I just wish there was some way this cycle of bad hires could be broken.

Being a "good fit" doesn't mean anything if he's atrocious. Sure, some great college coaches move up to the NFL and can't make it there.. but I'm not impressed with his resume other than maybe he can develop a QB
