Sarah Fuller scored against the University of Tennessee Volunteers football team

Fuller scoring against us kinda feels like when that Forrest Gump guy for BAMA ran all over us. I am sure we will be in the Sarah Fuller story also. Damn just damn!

More embarrassing than losing to Tennessee by over 3 tds?

That fact that we beat them by 3 TDS and they went on to have a better season than us is embarrassing.

More so than a female kicker making a PAT on us.

Who cares? Yes, this was PR stunt by Candy, and yes we’ll be in the picture as the media gushes over how stunning and brave Vandy and Fuller are for this magnificent historic accomplishment, but again...who cares?

I was a Pruitt fan until today. The fact they didn’t even pressure the PAT is appalling. I’m tired of this SJW bs, and by giving her a free pass you just fed into it. I’m sorry but this is shameful

She kicked a couple of extra points. It's historic, technically. History will say she kicked them in a game her team lost 42-17. Vandy created a footnote in the annals of football.

It just makes Tennessee look worse when we act so insecure about it. Put on your big boy pants.

This whole thing is about society's fixation on race and gender, and the celebration of mediocrity as expected.

It is unusual that a female kicks an extra point in a game. It is pretty cool. But that's where it stops. Last week she kicks a squib kick because the ball wouldn't probably travel long and they didn't want to put her in harms way. This week UT didn't even try to stop the extra points. Vanderbilt doesn't let Fuller try a FG or kickoff which made the whole thing a gimmick.

As expected, one of ESPN's first highlights on Sportscenter (which I rarely watch but it was on after falling asleep after watching LSU/Florida) was Fuller kicking two extra points against Tennessee. Zero Tennessee highlights and no mention Tennessee actually went on to blow Vanderbilt out even as they flashed the score, then to the Fuller press conference.

Why are some people acting like this is an embarrassing thing? Serious Question lmfao. Some y'all are tools. It's embarrassing we are 3-6. It's not embarrassing someone kicked a couple PATs against us
This ^

Noticed she “chips” her kicks with no leg follow-thru. Exactly how soccer goalkeepers do it. Makes sense I guess for her but in football that’s poor mechanics that would fail. Further evidence of simply a publicity stunt.

There’s no question it was a publicity stunt, but what’s wrong with a publicity stunt? I was proud of the kid. She got her chance and made the kicks.

It’s a non issue, IMO. The fact that it has people upset says more about them than it does anything.

I didn't expect someone to minimize the significance of this.

Dude...I raised 2 girls, wear pink without reservations, have had my toenails painted more than once. I've decorated birthday cakes, changed diapers, and dressed my girls for ballet recitals.

You think you are more man than me? Today I've worked cows, built a fire, told a boyfriend how it works when he didn't show my daughter the respect I demand. I got up at 330am today, will tomorrow, and Monday to provide for my girls.

So...no, I'm not emasculated. Never have been. Never will be.

You want man lessons? Look me up.

All that said...Sarah Fuller scored against the University of Tennessee Volunteers football team.
No women belong on the field participating in a contact sport. Men and women are not equal when it comes to physical contact and you know It. Stupid stunt and will most likely destroy our great sport. ESPN has put a dress on our sport and supported this nonsense. Keep this up and college football will go away.

Forever and ever recorded in the history of not only football, not only Power 5 football, not only SEC Football, but all of sports.

...and just 3 short months ago Jeremy Pruitt was given an extension and a raise.

It's a good day for trolls.

This thread too is recorded in history and an embarrassment to the VOL nation.... free speech is what it is and folks are able to throw ignorant topics out there. I know we are not the only fan base to be plagued by this kind of display, but it is the fanbase I am a member of. Just like the blind kid at USC I think it was, acknowledge the fact and move on.

It's the last thing about this team I'm worried about. I'd be more embarrassed to be Vandy with a "long" and a "short" fg kicker as though that is normal.

With all of that being true, why does the bold part bother you?
