Welcome Michigan to the states of marriage equality!!!

And btw it's not liberal judges with these decisions. Judge Friedman, a Reagan appointee, is 9th consecutive judge in 3 months to rule in favor of #marriage!

Any judge who would rule against equality is simply marking his name with a negative tally as far as history is concerned

Ahh. I don't care one bit about gay marriage. Ban it. Allow it for the country. I just don't care. But I'm not too fond of judges taking it upon themselves to reverse what people voted for. That's why we...... vote......

Pretty likely the south never would've been desegregated had a popular vote decided it

I don't nessasarsly mind judges reversing stupid peoples decisions. I just wish they would do it uniformly per the constitution.

Yeah, that's always fun. Gay marriage is nowhere in the constitution and yet that's always cited in these decisions. But the right to bear arms is clearly outlined in the BoR and that's constantly attacked by those that cite the constitution. Good stuff.

The constitution has been dead sine FDRs 1st term.

Because the will of the people is always what is right...

You're wrong.

Also, his point was about choice.

Not whether people make the correct choices. But that's where we're at. Make the "correct" choice or else. So in other words you don't have a choice. Ahhh freedom.

I wish I had a simplistic understanding of everything. In many ways, it would be easier. Kind of like a belief in a god who sets everything right in the end.

Segregation vs Gays wanting to get married? That's a terrible comparison. Blacks were refused medical service, had separate schools, separate eating establishments, weren't allowed to serve in combat (other than being a chef) until the Korean War and so on based solely on their race. If gays were anywhere close to that you might have a point.
