SEC This Morning was all about Vandy this morning. And also about Pavia riding a big performance in Neyland to get an invite to the Heisman ceremony. Had a very short segment on UT’s win. The Vandy/Pavia hype for this weekend has started.
Hopefully, the Vols will shut him down hard

If we can almost lose to Arkansas and Miss St, we can absolutely lose to Vandy. We actually should have lost both.
and on the other hand we are a missed kick and missed block leading to a scoop and score from beating the bulldogs and sooners.

Vols fan in Aggieland. Tonight in Austin and tomorrow in Knoxville, two little brothers are going to try to give their big brothers a whooping. I think this board would be happy with an Aggie win, but the other little brother needs to be sent back to its room crying.

Will come down to run game. Lea is a defensive guy. Will likely have some weird 4-2-57 look, that SEC office has rubber stamped.

But hating ON Tennessee is more fun to some and its not debatable.

I feel like any season goes that way, including last season—and especially in the SEC. A handful of plays are literally the difference between 11-1/10-2 or 8-4/7-5. With all of the parity in the league I don’t see that changing.

I forget which analyst brought it up but they said college football has changed forever and once you stop thinking “undefeated or bust” and looking at it more like the NFL, the better off you’ll be.

I believe not only has it changed forever, its still in the middle of that major change. Some programs like Alabama and Georgia had a head start with solid foundations in administration and real depth on the field. While we were wandering in the wilderness, They have been at the very top, for a long time, so its had a different affect on them. Sooner or later it'll all catch up to them and things will be a little more even.

Not making excuses, it just is what it is. And a little nugget for the haters, Heupel hasn't been as good as Saban and Smart. Maybe he never will. Nobody knows. But he beat Saban and he came close to beating Kirby this year. It hasn't been this exciting in years on the Hill and my mind won't comprehend some of the hate being spewed by some.

I don't like most of the changes, but I know its like everything else I have zero control of, like the woo. Enjoy it best I can or just suck it up. Bitching whining and moaning about it does nothing but make everyone around you as miserable as you are.

I think it will be icing on the cake if we can eliminate any talk of them being in the play offs by a dominate beat down. And also nice to beat them in one of their once every century good teams that come along

Vandy is an ascending program. No longer the automatic win you would like for your permanent opponent.

This is what I’m saying. The people who routinely call for his head after a bad loss are under the assumption that guys like Sean McVay or Nick Sirianni are breaking down the door to coach at Tennessee. The reality is, at this point there is no one better out there. Is Heupel our “Richt”? Maybe. But if 9-10 wins per year is him being our Richt in the present day we are in good shape. Under the CFP format Mark Richt would’ve made the playoff, and with the team that he had with Stafford and Moreno, might’ve won it all.

I’ve got my fair share of critical posts on here, but going off the deep end isn’t warranted.
