Would be a huge pickup for us, but would feel bad for Milton.
Admit I'm kinda curious to see how the Milton experiment goes, but also kinda afraid.
Though, also feel bad for Wake. They keep finding great QBs and keep losing them once they are good!
Personally, I don't see Hartman needing another year in college. IMO, he's ready for the NFL now. Unless his heart is dead set on that GRad xfer degree, another year in college serves no purpose, unless he's just not getting any love in draft status.
This may be a great addition for Tennessee if the defense improves to at least respectable and CJH see this, he will go straight to Hartman as soon as Milton doesnt produce. I would hate it for Milton but that is the nature of the beast anymore
He won’t be a 1st round pick, not even close, that’s why. Most boards have him in the 4-6th rounds and as low as the 19th ranked QB prospect.Right he slung it this year for a ton of TDs and yards...why come back and do it again for a different team vs just go to the NFL and be a first round pick
Exactly. If NIL could make it worth his while, he could get paid big to play for another year at UT and very possibly improve his draft stock at the same time if he can do it again in the SEC. I have no idea if there’s anything to the rumour but it makes sense in theory. He won’t be a 1st round pick, not even close, that’s why. Most boards have him in the 4-6th rounds and as low as the 19th ranked QB prospect.

This.
From Hartman's perspective, if he comes to UT, balls out next year, he moves into the top 3 rounds, getting a better contract. The difference between 5th round and 2nd round money for an NFL QB is pretty huge.
He also gets some NIL money. So it may, in fact, be much more profitable for him to come here rather than go straight to the NFL.
The guy you quoted already explained it. Even if he just treads water and puts up similar numbers, which i fully believe doing it in the SEC would mean more to scouts than doing in the terrible ACC, then he gets drafted in the same spot in ‘24, but he made a potentially huge sum of money in the meantime by coming to play at UT for a year. Its a win/win the way i think about it.he already balled out THIS year. How much better do you think he's going to do? One more year is not going to move him up three rounds,. Scouts know what they need to know. Not saying it won't happen, just don't see logic of it from his perspective,
