Kaidon Salter is most likely going to be the starter for the 2021 season, as long as Chaney is still the OC. My thinking behind this is at Chaney's previous stops as OC he went with the young guy he recruited to develop him and played him early. I do not think there is a realistic chance JG comes back next year (thankfully) and Chaney did not want HB to begin with IMHO. Chaney recruited Haynes King but was unable to land him, so he settled with keeping HB. Chaney likes the dual threat QB's better which is why I think Salter will be the 1st string qb next year, so Chaney can develop and run with "his guy"

Is that why 247, ESPN nor Rivals show him with a UGA offer?
Oh lord. You again.

I’ve explained this several times. When a kid gets an offer, if HE doesn’t make it public knowledge then THEY don’t make it public knowledge. See if you can find offer dates and you’ll see they stopped the moment he committed to UT. Why? Do you really think his phone stopped ringing after being named to the elite 11? Or especially after his performance at the Opening? There was another 10+ offers that no one knows about afterwards

Pruitt is starting JG.

When has this staff shown any inclination to start a true freshman QB?

What has this staff shown any ability to get a freshman QB ready to start in the SEC?

Not so sure that's correct about Chaney. He wanted and recruited Jacob Eason and then Jake Fromm back to back years. Then started both. He ended started Fromm over Justin Fields, which ended up losing Fields for that reason. I don't buy the part about Chaney not wanting HB, he is very similar to Eason and Fromm. I hope to god we don't have to deal with JG another year, I can't take another year of him. I think Shrout is probably gone and doubt Mauer ever contributes, muchless ever becomes a starter. But Salter will definitely have a chance. Think by fall we only have HB, Salter and could see us searching for a grad transfer QB for security if nothing else. But based off Chaney's most recent and past QB recruiting, HB is definitely his type QB. Never believed the Chaney didn't want HB talk.

I guarantee JG will not be back next season. Hell why would he want to take the abuse of Volnation another year? And I'm one of those who believe he has no business starting. He isn't staying a 6th year.

Well truthfully Chaney has and never hesitated starting a true Fr QB. He did it back to back years with Eason, then Fromm. This is all Pruitt and his obsession with JG. We need a QB Coach who can develop QB's. Weinke has to go as does Will Friend. If any OL Coach can't succeed and develop the OL players we have, then he has no business coaching the OLine at Tenn or any football school. Pruitt is too worried about hiring his buddies, just like Butch.

Look at Sam Pittman. He hired a helluva staff at Arky and look what it's done for them. Pruitt has yet to learn that apparently.

Is your guarantee inside info?

I wonder how many of the players and coaches are paying attention to Volnation.com.
