He seems like an old school smash mouth coach. Show me one of those that doesn't cuss. All these oversensitive ninnies need to just accept that and let the man do his job and judge him by the product on the field. He's not here to win a congeniality award.

Sure, a smart move, take your son from a #1 team to ut. How smart would Sunseri have looked if he had even asked his son to consider such a move. Do you know where his family lives? It's not in tn.

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm...?
It would be smart to go from not playing for your dad at Alabama to playing for your dad at UT. As defensive coordinator at UT Sal, who knows his son the best, could have helped him become great, maybe even greater than an Alabama Secondary.

Who is to say that Sal had to ask his son. He could have just suggested how great it would be and hope the son would move. His son is doing more than playing, he is also recruiting and could take away ESPN 150 running back Derrick Henry from UT...

"In June, ESPN 150 running back Derrick Henry decommitted from Georgia after visiting the University of Alabama. He consequently named the Crimson Tide his leader. Henry returned to Tuscaloosa over the weekend for one more visit this summer at head coach Nick Saban’s request.

The Yulee, Fla., native has not made a decision on his commitment, but it might have seemed he had when he was hanging out with Tide players Kenyan Drake, Geno Smith and Vinnie Sunseri. He and Sunseri spent the most time together.

“I like Vinnie,” Henry said. “I like his mentality and the way he carries himself. He works hard. I love being around that type of player.”

Where his family lives is pointless. I do not go to school where my family lives... Many athletes leave to go play away from family... Just sayin...

I only trust people who cuss.... If you don't cuss, you're hiding something.....

People that use foul language come across as unintelligent and ignorant as far as I am concerned. If you can coach you can coach why cuss at players

Sometimes cussing is the only way to get the point across IMO.

For example, when someone has frustrated me to the end of my patience and their annoyance is just too unbearable, a simple "Go away" is not sufficient for me as it does not have the impact and effect as I desire. I want to clearly express my disdain so I like to use a big ol' "F--- OFF!" or a variation of that.

I had a Marine Corps Sgt Major explain why he cussed so much. He said..."I'm from Samoa. My English isn't that great, so I use cuss words to fill in the blanks. Now get the F*** back to work and shut your **&$$**(*&^ pie hole.

^True story. Great man too.

Lets just hope Sunseri stays away from tattoo's. Clearly, you cannot be a leader if you cuss, tattoos may just put him over the edge.

Came into my work today. Talked for a few minutes. Says this years team is completely focused. Tired of losing and they know the fans are tired of it too. Also says we're gonna tackle better. Told the team they looked like.. Ahem... Kitties last year trying to hit. But.... He does cuss so I think we should fire him...

GBO can't wait til opening night

Where do you work? Your original post is all you have stated in the entire thread, what gives?

Try asking that question to a USN boot camp Company Comander.

That doesn't change the truth of the poster said about cussing indicating lacking ability to communicate a point intelligently. You can get a point across by slapping someone upside the head but the question remains is whether it is necessary or preferable over a non-abusive expressive format. Polite Corrective Note: The word is "commander" has two "m's".

The "tradition of abusing conscripts is thought to toughen them up. But I think it creates unnecessary anxiety and increases difficulty in readjusting to civilian life. The film "Full Metal Jacket" sort of points this out and even echoes what seems to be growing incidents of soldiers killing fellow soldiers these day.

Now, as for salty Sal, I wouldn't condemn him. The kids he has doubtlessly grew up as I did, hearing these terms used repeatedly whether I wanted to or not (I wish I never had heard them) and swear words and phrases have a nasty way of sticking with you. Thus very likely this is the quickest way to get their attention. BUT remember, there was talk about players being peeved that CDD and his aides were constantly cussing the players and this was part of why morale declined.

I am not a saint myself, not even pretentiously close to being one. That being freely admitted, here is something I know. People who are dead set on continuing a behavior will find an excuse for doing so.
