Go check out the old state capital, your hotel is pretty close to it, Capital City Grill is close to you too and is good. Just dont go on any of the streets over N. 8th or you are taking your life into your hands
Thanks I was wondering how far we should go at night. Saw the old capitol on the map, just left the river area and heading to the old capitol.

I work at the big fire station on Government street a couple blocks from where you are staying so I know the area pretty good and I would avoid going across Government street east of Highland too. 3rd street is where all the bars are downtown if you were looking for somewhere to go tonight. The USS Kidd is pretty neat downtown too

Over on Tigerdroppings people are saying lots of vehicles on I10 and I56 with TN lic plates headed south! They are guessing we will have 20,000 fans attending. GBO

The word on the street is, “Vol fans have taken over New Orleans and will work their way over to the BR to watch the Vols best LSU.”

Checker (The name of their stadium. What ever that may be.)!
