Yes it was and who has ever said Butch is as good as 2 of the best walking the sidelines?

Butch is not Saban. We pretty much knew that going in

A whole lot more coaches not named Saban or Meyers didn't win jack **** in their third year. Jones would fall in that group.

No need to even compare him to Saban or Meyer. Look at what Freeze inherited and he beat Alabama and was ranked at #2 in his third year. Look at what James Franklin inherited. He beat Tennessee, Florida, and Georgia in his third year.

Let's all stop kidding ourselves. A real coach and qb would've won tonight. Real Qb's and real coaches don't give up 17-3 leads in the 4th quarter. Butch can recruit but he can't coach worth a sh**.

James Franklin just lost to Temple and none of those sec teams he beat were very good anyways. He's showing his colors now

We know Butch isn't Saban or Meyer, if Tennessee fans want Saban and Meyer they should probably jump on the OSU and bama bandwagon. Every stinking time we lose a game somebody starts a thread about our coach not being Saban or Meyer. I just don't get it. Sorry.

I don't think we want Saban or that PoS Meyer, but we HAVE to have a coach that doesn't blow 17-3 leads. Tell me why we lost this game tonight.

Yep. Its crazy to think about Franklin beating UF and Georgia in this third year. Will be interesting to see if Jones can do it with more to work with than he had.

There's other elite coaches out there we don't know about. How many people thought Myers was elite at Utah?
